Are you using a 3d printer to make the masters. I am just amazed at all the detail work. How are you making your models? I would like to meet you sometime just to say I met a master artist!! Any part of these are just crazy good. -

I have been getting a lot of rust looking material in my new pot also. Bought 9-5-14. The new pot runs a lot hotter and it runs out when I first get it going. Good thing I run a little pot underneath . Saved my butt more than once. Been pouring for 30 years and using the same lead I used with my old pot that just burnt the element into. There is a big difference with the current model for some reason. I suspect it is temp related. It also acts like there is a reaction with the pot metal material. New problem for me also.

I am looking at the Tormach PCNC 1100. Looks good to me. Been learning SolidWorks 2014. What a hoot. This is one very deep CAD program. Having trouble cutting the design. Tried to find a class in my area and no luck so far. Watched a lot of tutorials. Going to figure it out one of these days. I like designing lures better than pouring and manufacturing!

The line tie is .35 and the screw eyes are .60. I hope the line tie holds up. Looks kind of funny with the different sizes. Still learning! The lip has a set screw through it and the original line tie was farther down with the lip being 1" longer. The bait corkscrewed in the water so I moved everthing around and cut the lip down. -

It looks like you got a good idea with the screws. I want to know how you did the scales. Is that paint or foil? Very nice job carving that bait. Looks like it will swim very nicely!
