Anyone fish and or make the Big Hammer type swimbaits? I have been catching a lot of fish on these and the tail action is very active.I made a plaster mold and it kinda sucks.The tail screws up demolding?Anyone make a silicone mold of similar type baits? Thanks

Hey VodkaMan, I am not pissed at them. That is what the tackle industry does. Take ideas and sell them to people like me.I am into fishing and making lures for fun and I am not going to make my fun into work.I was told by a person in the biz that this would happen and it is kind of a bassakward compliment. Thanks for your comments! Atijigs, I have tried twisting the wires like you mentioned and the results kinda sucks. I have been all over the internet trying to find something close and the search goes on.Thanks for your suggestion!

Hey Guys and Gals, I am looking for a 2 stranded stainless wire I can use in my Shakey Head molds. I do not like the screw locks so I am using a straight wire instead. The wire I am using is spring wire and it breaks easily . PJ Bass Extractor Jigs has copied my idea without my permission after I showed it to a local guide that showed it to them.Imagine that ! The wire they use is what I am trying to find. It looks like a 2 wire twisted stainless weed guard. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks....Ifish

Thanks Guys, I am asking Bear and BassTackle to send me a sample. I am just getting into pouring plastic and trying to find something that I can use in my guide service that will last more than 1 fish and not cost so much. I have been hand tying jigs for years and that has been fun catching fish on something you make yourself. My clients don't seem to have as much confidence in hand ties as they do plastic for some reason.I think the hype from the fishing shows and people like KVD has a big influence on what people want to buy and fish with.Thanks for your help!

Thanks SHK. I am looking for something with better action than the rage craw. I do not want to duplicate there mold. I respect there patent. There baits sell for $1.00 apeice and I want something that will hold up better. There craw bait tears up after 1 fish and thats crazy.Thanks for the links.

Thanks guys. I kinda figured that it would be difficult to reuse the 3X plastic . My research continues to find some kind of plastic I can use in a mold that doesn't tear up so easily. Thanks for your time. I will try to use the search feature more in the future. Take care!

I am wanting to make a craw like or better than the rage tail 4" craw and was wandering if anyone has tried remelting the 3X Strike King plastic and pouring or injecting it in a mold. Tired of losing the legs after one fish. Thanks!
