    I have been using a powder UV Blast to mix in my plastic and was wandering if there is something else. Did a search already and nothing came up in past posts. Also looking at Lure Solutions UV plastisol. Anyone trying anything new or different? Thanks for any ideas!!

    I have been getting a lot of rust looking material in my new pot also. Bought 9-5-14. The new pot runs a lot hotter and it runs out when I first get it going. Good thing I run a little pot underneath . Saved my butt more than once. Been pouring for 30 years and using the same lead I used with my old pot that just burnt the element into. There is a big difference with the current model for some reason. I suspect it is temp related. It also acts like there is a reaction with the pot metal material. New problem for me also.

    I am looking at the Tormach PCNC 1100. Looks good to me. Been learning SolidWorks 2014. What a hoot. This is one very deep CAD program. Having trouble cutting the design. Tried to find a class in my area and no luck so far. Watched a lot of tutorials. Going to figure it out one of these days. I like designing lures better than pouring and manufacturing!

    I was looking through my store bought baits and ran across some Mann's Hardnose baits and was wandering what the process would be. Anybody try shooting hard and soft plastic together. Will the mold have to be very custom. I can't wrap my head around the best way! Any ideas fellers?

    I am looking for a good Bone Color recipe. Several mentions in the search but I can't find a recipe. I am using C-Tex paints with Iwata Eclipse. Just started making some spooks and like the bone on factory lures. They get bit! Thanks Guys for all your help with the lure building. About ready to put up some pics. Been at it for 2 months.

    Dang what a learning curve!

    If you are talking about this mold it will not accept a 90 degree unless it has a flat eye.http://do-itmolds.co...ry&path=1_7_266 I am not sure which mold you are talking about. These molds have 2 options.http://do-itmolds.co...ry&path=1_7_264. This mold will take either. http://do-itmolds.com/shop/index.php?route=product/category&path=1_7_234 I fish and make a lot of shakey head molds and I am using straight wire in mine. Lot better than screw locks.

    Anyone fish and or make the Big Hammer type swimbaits? I have been catching a lot of fish on these and the tail action is very active.I made a plaster mold and it kinda sucks.The tail screws up demolding?Anyone make a silicone mold of similar type baits? Thanks

    I am not pissed at them. That is what the tackle industry does. Take ideas and sell them to people like me.I am into fishing and making lures for fun and I am not going to make my fun into work.I was told by a person in the biz that this would happen and it is kind of a bassakward compliment.     I have tried twisting the wires like you mentioned and the results kinda sucks. I have been all over the internet trying to find something close and the search goes on.Thanks for your suggestion!
