  1. Agreed,,, put the die in and stir before heating .
  2. Does look like chartreuse with heavy black flake. Not sure if it is Yellow or Green chartreuse?
  3. Looks like no venting on the mold above the tail area ?
  4. Hmm, The baits are oily when cured ?
  5. You are now using dead on?
  6. Les, What was it that you had to get used to. I am down to my last few gallons of Calhouns and will be trying something different. Thinking about Easy stretch, but not sure yet .
  7. Shake it some more , and more .
  8. $ 2000 profit or $2000 in sales ?
  9. In the past people have said that Mineral oil will make the baits get hard over time . Keep us posted .
  10. and over time ,, how has this worked for you?
  11. Mark,, Well a Bud Light can is 5" ...... So umm ??
  12. What I have noticed with older plastisol is the Heat stabilizer goes away so you mite want to add heat stabilizer to it. Other than that the old plastisol seems to be just fine .
  13. What are you using now ? I use a tooth pick for small baits ,, the handle on a small paint brush for some, the big flat end of a wooden skewer on larger ones.
  14. I think that is what kinda replaced this mold. Not exact but similar.
  15. I think that exact mold is discontinued. It is either Bobs or Bass Tackle. I had this mold some years back . Is it a 5" ? Frank also had it -- If its the mold I am thinking of .
  16. Sounds like you mite just need to warm the mold before pouring ? If so, not sure the proper way to warm silicone molds. Maybe pour it with a color you can cut up and reuse. Maybe a Hair dryer. I do know after they get heated up they hold the heat and maybe to much heat .
  17. Wow, gluing them would be challenging but it looks like does work !
  18. Shipping cost are bad these days ,, Maybe add a couple items that you will need later on to your order ?? Gas is also almost $ 3.00 a gallon . Do you think that bait pictured would be helped with a kill dot ?
  19. Is your injector close to running out of plastic when you shoot the mold?
  20. Can you show us a picture of the bait with bubbles.
  21. It has to be the salt ... the type of salt .. I Have added salt after I made a non salted bait a lot of times, and as Jig Man said it just needs more color when salt is added so I could see a couple more drops of black needed to get the smoke color. But I have never saw a bait turn blue when salt is added.
  22. Your posting this question in the wrong spot.. Ask in the Soft Plastics Thread below the Pinned topics. Anyway . put a very thin amount of Worm oil on the inside of mold before pouring.
  23. I have lived in Michigan all my life and as a kid it was fun ,, but the last 20 years I have not liked it at all. It's been below 0 at night and 15-20 degrees during the day time - Sucks !
