Snax, Just wondering why you have a different hinge type for the last section, is it for more mobility on the tail?

Could you post a close up of the front joint? It looks a little different than the back one.

How do you go about removing a lip from a hard bait? I have tried to cut with a sharp razor blade but have not had much luck. I was wondering if someone could offer some tips or tricks on the way they remove the lips for molding.

I was looking at the slip cast tutorial and I am gonna give it a try. I was thinking thought that with some of the hard baits giving fish leverage to throw the bait a line tube like what 3:16 lure company does would be a good idea. The question is though is would there be any effects using surgical tubing when you pour the alumilite? I would use a small finish nail instead of the pins to make the markers for the tube insert when making the mold. Then when actually casting have the tubing protrude out both marker holes. Then just trim the tubing flush with the body.
