  1. I think if you want a mold with just 1 oz you will have to get a custom mold made, every thing i've seen has 4 sizes 1/2-3/4-1&1 1/2 oz.
  2. You also have to take the aluminum outer case and bottom of the liner.
  3. You have to take the diamond or square box that holds the heat controller apart and undo the nuts for the heating coil and take it off the pot.
  4. You can use Tinypic to post pictures its very easy.

It's an old do-it mold long out of production.A guy I know has one and only pours 300 jigs a year in 1/4 and 3/8 size, says he doesn't want to flood the market with them.I have one of the 1/4 oz size heads, but want the 5/8 oz.These are some of the colors he makes.I will see if he will give me the model number.
  14. Looking for the mold that would pour this style of jig head.I believe there are 4 sizes 1/4-3/8-1/2-5/8 oz heads in the mold anybody willing to sell one.
  15. Depending on how many you make in a year that might work,I do 5000+ a year and powder paint them all. After powder painting, I use testers model paint for the eyes then bake them at 250 degrees for 30 min. surprising the model paint seems to melt into the powder paint making them very durable.
  16. When I do hot pink I never put a base coat of white on first, just dip in hot pink powder then tap on my second color.
  17. I just started to dye my deer tails for tying bucktail jigs,I use veniards dye.A lot of the tails are whats left over after using the Chartreuse, yellow, blue ,orange and red,I dye them black they come out like a bought black tail.I also clean and process around 150 tails in the fall that I get from a couple of abattoirs in my area for free.I dyed some orange and yellow they turned out excellent also. You only have to use 1/4 of a teaspoon to 2 pints of water and 3 tablespoons of vinegar to set the dye, that will do about 8 deer tails.

I get my bucktails for free anywhere from 100 -150 per year from a couple of abattoirs,I debone and cure them my self.I tie approx 3000 bucktail jigs a year mostly 3/4 oz walleye head. For thread I use upholstery thread, size CSB69 its heavier then big fly thread. The tails I get have hair anywhere from 2-6 inches long I only use hair around 2-3 inches on my jigs depending on what size head I tie.I have lots of tails with the longer hair up to 6 inches I never us,I just vacuum seal them and throw them in a box.
