  1. is there a synthetic sent that isn't heat sensitive?
  2. I just checked Lurecraft. didn't find it. could you please post a link to it?
  3. im not sure that would work in saltwater. this is a crab. ever use worm oil for saltwater fish?
  4. would that work for saltwater? these are sand crabs from the ocean.
  5. I am working on a soft plastic sand crab bait. I'd like to sent them but have no idea what would be a good sent to use that would match a sand crab. or for that matter would be good for perch. any ideas on an idea on what sent you think would work best?
  6. guys guys, thanks for the input. you have all given me some ideas. and Vodkaman, yeah i think it was your thread. i will check out the lures you guys have mentioned and see what i can come up with. i'll keep you guys informed as to my progress. and again, thanks for all your help.
  7. hey guys its been a while sense I've posted here. i am trying to design a new type of crank, at least i don't believe its been made before, i have looked and haven't found anything on the net. anyway, its made from soft plastic. the problem i am having is that i can't get the bait to track straight before it rolls and blows out. a thought came to me last night in bed (when i do my best thinking!!!) that the force and pressure on the lip is probably causing the plastic to actually move, there for changing the angle of attack of the lip, and THAT could be way the bait rolls and blows out. i did see a thread here (sorry i can't remember who posted it or when) of a guy that made a lip that looked more like a half moon, and extended well to the sides. he reported to have good results, but of course that was a hard bait. do any of you MASTERS OF THE CRANK, have any ideas on how i can correct this problem? the original design is for thrusher shark fishing. however my test baits are smaller. also my lip building skills are not, well, great! i've only made two! so i also think that those could be a big problem as well. my lips don't come out perfectly symmetrical . although i can work on that. any help you guys can provide or insights would be great!
  8. my mistake, not Lure Craft, it was Del Mart Molds. my apologies to Lure Craft.
  9. thanks to the guys that send me PM's. i will be betting in touch with you shortly. as for the info i am leaving out? well i don't want to say to much at this time. especially with bait two we feel it will be a game changer. but all the baits will be hand poured. two colors. its not that i can't pour them, i can, but i can't pour in the 1,000's of bait range per color/size. we are talking several 1,000's of baits.
  10. well what i am hoping for is this, to find a place that will pour that can make the molds off of my design. i believe Lurecraft can do this, but i will not work with Lurecraft any more after what they have done and their customer service. but first i need to find some place that can pour what i want. i can work on getting the mold or open negotiations with them to work something out. but need to find a pourer first.
  11. ok, my buddy and i have a design that we have tested and is proven, but neither of us has the time to actually do the pouring in the quantities needed to for the demand we expect. there are two designs one of which i believe will be explosive and never seen before. so my question is this.... who can i get to pour my baits by the 1,000's at a good price? we have been sitting on this for some time now and i don't want to wait anymore to launch our product. so any help you can provide would be great!
  12. Damn it, your not 39!!!!

  13. i was watching this show tonight on Verses called Fishing University, and had this guy on called "Z-man". he is claiming that the soft plastic lures they make are made from this stuff called "elastex". i have looked on the internet and haven't really been able to find anything on it. it is supposed to be non toxic, very flexable, and very strong. it also has a positive buoyancy. has anyone ever heard of this stuff? does anyone know here you can buy it? i am curious to learn more about this and to see if it will suit my needs.
  14. interesting. thank you! i will try that.
  15. ah! you see my dilemma!!! i do have pots like the ones shown in this thread. but those are for samples and prototypes and new color combos. yes i do have the market for my baits and i can't won't be able to make the baits in the numbers needed. as for my baits, yes they are two and three color swimbaits. so i need to know how the "big boys" do it, what equiment they use, or some company that can handle the quantity i need. and that is about 10,000 or more per color. and i have 5 colors at this time.
