  1. You say dip and hang. Do you not need to use a drying wheel with DN. I currently use D2T and use a wheel to level out.

I saw a new product in local hardware store the other day. It is a one part clear made by Liquid Nails. Package says it dries crystal clear. I don't know how tough or durable it is. Just wondering if any one has tried it and what the results were.
  3. I tend to agree that it does not matter very much to a point. I also pour and paint all my Spinner baits, Jigs and Buzz Baits and 98% of the time I use the same three moulds(different weights) to pour spinner baits for night time. I do have a preference on what I call a drop bait this is a short arm bait used on steep banks where you drop to bottom pull out a little and let it fall to bottom again. For this I use a head copied from a "T's" head. Bait was made in Tenn. I think It's no longer made. There is another bait made in Tenn. that has a flat bottom that works well around gravel and rocks which is what I mostly fish on the Coosa River (Logan Martin) in Ala. Its a "Hoppys" Hope this helps Mackey
  4. I posted the a couple weeks ago about this excellent brush.Web site is www.buyairbrushes.com Clint Wilder is guys name to thank for the discount code, "bigfish1" Do a search on clint wilder and you will get several members opinion on this brush as well as other Air Tools brushes. Also includes 6' braided hose free. Mackey
  5. i'm far from an expert but i have used several air brushes and this one works great. i just bought air pro tools 9000 <$40.00. i got information on this site, i think "hazmail" uses one and gave it good ratings. also they have a discount coupon for TU members. clint wilder is sales mgr that posted information. do a search and find the post. sorry for goofy looking typing, i'm one handed at this time due to rotator cuff surgery last week. btw createx paint is what i use as most others on this site
  6. Thanks to all. I will continue to practice, I only have this problem when sprayig over powder paint. cadman sent PM. Mackey Miles Pell City Al.
  7. Hi guys, Take it easy on the new guy!!! I have been reading quite a while now, and this is far and away the best and most informative site there is. I have learned so much I can't imagine how long trial and error would have taken. A little history, been making mostly jigs tied with everything from hair, rubber, craft fur to mothers knitting yarn and all types spinner baits. Pour all my heads. My first question is. I use mostly powder paint and am in good shape up to two colors but have problems with three. I am attempting to use createx (not cut) to spray over the cured powder paint. I have two air brushes and get the same results, paint splatters and will not level out no matter how low I drop pressure on brush. Can you just not spray over powder ??? Sorry so long
