  1. Has anyone ever tried using composimold??? I guess you can recycle the material over and over again. I am thinking about using it to make plastic crankbaits.. Here is the link.http://composimold.com/ I am really interested in finding out if its a good molding material.

    Mola Mola

    Looks like a wet rabbit.
  3. I am wondering about that myself. Where do you go to research whether a worm you want to pour is patented or copyrighted all ready?

    1st Soft Baits

Actually I haven't yet for a particular worm I'd like to make. These turned out really good though.

  7. I experimented with the while kitchen and bath silicone caulk. I didn't mix in too much water so its still not totally dry but my bait pulled out of it fine the very next day. My suggestion so far is to lay your bait in and not move it because the caulk will stick at first. Then let it dry a good long time if you don't add a lot of water. Here is a photo.
  8. Mr. Bilky & Vodkaman do you have to put a releaser on the plastic bait your copying or not with fiberglass resin?
  9. Wow, I have been looking for a better sealer than what I have been using and I am looking forward to trying out your method on a really tough bait to copy. I hope this works out. I like the nice shiny finish on my baits. Hopefully I will be able to post some photos soon. Your flooding the mold description sounds easy enough thanks.
  10. I think that I may even try some marine carpet glue for making a mold. Has anyone else tried this? My brain is churning with ideas today.

    Paint booth???

It would be even better if it had a still to go along with it.
  12. sounds good vodkaman. I am going to try and use the silicone 1st on a bait I don't really care for and see what happens. I'll try and post results when I get them.
  13. I'm also curious as to what type of paint they use on the soft plastic baits. Ex. Acrylic?
