  1. Made them bulky to also fish them for saltwater critters. Can't wait to give them a go. Working on a multi cavity mold now. This will help me pour them a bit quicker. Have a great day Braided Line.  BP

  2. Thank you for the kind words Stretcher. I love this hobby so much that it keeps me thinking about that next bait that needs to be built. But i have to pace myself the cost of silicone is killing me. Thanks again for the nice  compliment. Frank aka Big Pancho

  3. Never lost brother Nova. Had another thing go on with the family and had to set the baits down for a bit. I hope all is well. Waiting on some new silicone to hit my front door and when it does a hand full of new carvings will be coming to life. Talk to you soon brother. BP

  4. Bob awesome looking insert. I been meaning to make something like this to use in a few of my baits. Do you sell the inserts or even better do you sell an aluminum mold to make these that you may want to sell. I would be interested in hearing back from ya. Thanks and have a great day.

  5. Yes brother Nova all three of these are open top pours. I am a little rusting with pouring but its like riding a bike it will all come back to me the more I do it. The other picture i posted is of these baits. You will see the cravings and molds. Have a great day brother.

  6. Thanks Nova. Wait till I pull the pin on this little sucker I really think hes going to blow some fish up. After looking at the rear end of the bait. I think I might have to bulk it up a bit in order for the bait to except a jig hook. But also was thinking maybe to leave this one alone and fish it with a drop shot worm weight and hook. This new shipment of five gallons of silicone is going to go fast. It's time to start saving for the next five gallon. Have a great day.

  7. Thank Nova for the nice compliment on the bait. Still enjoying this awesome hobby but wished I really had the time to devote to them. My wife is dealing with some major medical issues and this hobby is a great medicine for me to kinda take my mind off of all the negative crap in life. I haven't been able to fish in awhile but when that time comes I am going to have plenty of goodies to feed em. Thank you brother for all of the input and support you have given many of us rookie bait makers on this site. I really enjoy logging on here and seeing all the wonderful creations these brothers make. Carry on brother and God bless you and yours.

  8. Very nice looking bait. Try shooting a coat of paint on the master and sanding it down with 400 grit wet dry sandpaper. Get the carving as smooth as you can. The smooth the surface the glossier the baits will come out of the silicone mold. Here is another suggestion on the two piece mold cast it with the tail up. Apply the pour spout on the tail section and also an additional vent hole in the mold to let the mold breath. The vent hole will also eliminate the dimple that will form in the mold from it not being vented. Just some food for taught. I ain't no pro at this but learn from my mistakes. I hope this helps you with the mold preparations.  Pour on pour on.

  9. I use to be sane but burning plastic for the past 3 years has done something to make me insane. I think my wife is going to buy me one of those funny jackets that buttons from the back if I continue making lures. I have not yet made the silicone mold on this girl. Got a call from a good friend who was explaining to me that the v notch in the tail of this lure will not work correctly. I don't really want to waste silicone so what do you guys think do you thing she will swim with the tail she has? I can always fill in the boot tail and I know she will swim with a full tail. Any who you guys have a great day.

  10. FishnFreak thanks for the nice compliment on my new slug bait. To answer your questions. All of my creations are made with a bake clay called Scupley. This is the clay master I carved. I like shooting primer and paint on my masters prior to drowning them in RTV Silicone for the finish mold. Most of my baits are made with soft plastic but I also have been playing around with some hard baits. Best of luck to you with your projects and welcome to TU.

Thanks for the nice compliment brother Green Fingers. I really like the body shape of the old school Kalin fat shad body so I grabbed the clay and got to work on forming a body kinda like the kalin swimmer. This is one of my go to baits that has been very successful in attracting them bass to eat. I got a good feeling if I pour this dude up in some freshwater colors I can get them green bass to eat them as well. Thanks again for the compliment on my baits. Frank

  12. Thanks guys for the nice comment on my new bait. It felt good to get back on the baits. I just wish I had abundance of cash and time to throw at them but will have to pace myself and build them when I can. Boomah thanks for the idea about the mylar ballon. Gonna have to give that a try. I had an idea to maybe use some shrink plastic tubing like what you would see on electrical wiring. It should work I think. But will have to also give this a try. Thinking about how I would attach the mylar thou maybe spray glue. The different colors in the mylar might give a transparent color swimbait that extra touch. Now you got my wheels spinning!!! But in a good way. Thanks again guys.
