  1. On the same subject (kind of), did anybody use Createx Wicked to paint soft plastics? They're solvent based so at least in theory they should work...
  2. Frank, thanks for that! Yes, as you said the quart is a bit more than what I had in mind. I'll try and see if there is any way of buying less. Cami, I saw that cabcoatings are developing something (saw solarfallbaits's video on youtube) but honestly it is hard to navigate around their website since it is only in finnish and also as you said, as far as I know they only sell in Finland. They would have been perfect otherwise
  3. Hi all Is there any Europe based shop that sells Spike it products? I am most interested in their airbrush friendly paints. I know that their water based "colure" paint is safe to buy directly from their website, and would go for it, but it does require an extra "clear coat" to seal it. And considering the size and shape of the baits I'm trying to paint this is practically impossible, so I'd like to get a paint that stays on the lure without the extra dipping. Any help would be appreciated Thanks
  4. why did i wrote "rings" instead of "guides"? anyway thanks for the tips:yay:.......i think the best way is to aply thinner and more coats....because i've noticed that the bubbles are on the same side of the rod on every wrap....the rest of the coat is clear.
  5. i have changed the rings on two carrot stix using pacific bay thread and flex coat resin.no problem what so ever......except that tiny air bubbles(and i mean tiny) appeared....they are only visible under direct sunlight.what could be the problem? i tried gently heating the resin, the result is the same....

    Perfect Asp Lure

this is an interesting yet very simple lure.and by the look of,it seems to be very effective!nicely done!!!http://www.tackleunderground.com/pho...milies/yay.gif since i fish for asp alot I will try to make a few,and see how they work! and yes...the casting distance is an issue when you're fishing for asp.but this lure probably casts like a bullet.http://www.tackleunderground.com/pho...lies/smile.gif keep it up! PS. I truly belive that a tail feather would add some more attraction to these lures:wink:

    couple of floaters

yes....it's the same to us.I am from romania and our waters, fish, and fishing conditions are very much alike.it is exactly the same with the target species....only that I hope that these lures will catch some asp (rapfen) too.our perch is not that agressive to attack lures this size. only in the danube delta and other few places. have fun carving and painting.

the chartreuse one has a bit wider wobble compared to the other one, because i added ballast in the tail region aswell.the rest of the ballast is in the head the blueback has all the ballast in the head and only about a half a gram near the belly eye. they have a pretty obvious rolling action too. the wood is "linden tree"(i belive that's correct)
