  1. Take a squirl and I'm sure you could make a pretty realistic top water mouse...? Lol bobs gonna have a garage full of dead animals and he'll be sitting making a whole new line of injection squirl molds.
  2. So the wife asked me today what I wanted for fathers day. So I wrote a list that looks something like this. Then I got to thinking, if anybody one here is getting any lure stuff for fatger day, whats on your list? Mine is below.... 1. Colorant (about six new colors) 2. Pearl powder 3. Senko mold 4. And some 3d eyes Wes,
  3. I set my pyrex on an old coffee pot burner. I have only one mold also, I get two shots from this method. Its cheap and saves me a step.
  4. Thanks guys, I got a hold of them and theyre on the way to my house. Thanks again for the help.
  5. Im down to my last one and looking for a place they might sell them. I found nothing in a google search. If there is a mold that is similar, that would work also. It has that real thin tail unlike the fish trap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I believe I have the same mold that you are refering to. My best results have come after letting the plastic set up a little bit and pouring again over the top. This takes longer but I have been happier with the results. The backs of the swims come out flat.

I have a crank just like that one that i found at a yard sale. Its actually painted with nail poilish but a very similar scheme (not nearly as smooth). I planned to repaint it but after catching several fish on my local lake i decided to keep it just how it was. Nice job, paint another and get back out there.
  8. Ya you can put it in the bag they go in but they make all kinds of scents that you can dip, drip, or spray on your worm before you fish with it. Anyway the end result is the same I believe.
  9. nothin wrong with your idea chilton....keep thinking of new ideas.

  14. Nice job! I wish my first pour ever came out like yours.....You obviously did a little bit of homework. Good job
  15. Hey CTBASS56, I'm kinda in the same boat you are.... I'm a fireman and work 48 on and 96 off...its a rough life aint it? Ive always wanted to own a tackle company and have dabbled in swim baits for a while and wanted to try plastics. Initially it sounds easy, buy or make a mold, get some rubber, add color, melt it, pour it, done! ( I wish). Been reading posts on here about plastics for about 4 days now and there is a lot more to it. Just wanted to say thanks to all the guys that give advise here. CTBASS56, sounds like you have a big leg up being involved in lure industry already.
