  1. look in his website: www.johnscrankbait.com it's in the top of the bait gallery
  2. yea, that stuff is great. carves pretty good. i got his dvd on making baits with the pvc and they swim good. saved me a bunch of time. i did some sinking ones that turned out cool.
  3. i finaly got some baits i'm not afriad to show. i got JR's dvd on making baits and that helped me a bunch. the silver one is prism tape and the green one is the transfer print way. both are sinkers. and they have nice action. i might try painting some next time but i wanted to see how they came out.
  4. came up with a solution to keep my paddletail baits from getting deformed when they are stored in the tacklebox. insert a piece of wire into the tail that will keep it rigid while stored and then just pull it out when using, think swimbait colonoscopy:D
  5. i wonder about the holding ability as for screw eyes and hook hangers. also, pretty spendy @ $18-$20 / bf.
  6. i've read a lot of the posts on using an airbrush but how many of you paint the old fashioned way with a paintbrush?
  7. pretty cool! did you carve the lure?
  8. wow! is there a lot of information here! i decided to jump into trying to carve my own baits and i am amazed at how much information i have found on this site. i have done my own jigs, spinnerbaits, etc. and am going to try my hand at carving now. this site will definetly be my second home:).
  9. i've found Devcon at places other than Walmart. higher priced though but at least i can still get it easily.
