  6. We have been working with a holt melt machine, it works great for pouring or injecting, without changing anything but air pressure. You can get into this for about $2,000. Maybe cheaper, depends where you look. If your interested shoot me an email. jkmaland@gmail.com
  7. I think that if you know what barcode type you need you can do it yourself on this site http://www.barcoding.com/upc/ basically you can download numbers (each on specific to each bait/color) or however you want to do it then take the downloaded .png file and put it into Microsoft Word or some kind of template program that you can print out labels on. Buy your labels to fit and stick them on. I know there are cheap and maybe free ways of doing it, I think this is one though I have not used it.
  8. We looked at these machines about a year ago, Mike is right, they are scary! Be careful! We ended up going with another idea that was cheaper and 100 times safer!
  9. I have done that in many prototypes, but not very successful. It only works for me if you lay the mylar in a 2 sided mold, then inject your plastic in the same direction as the mylar. I dont have any pics of these. 2¢
  10. Im in Alexandria, MN I use so many topwater frogs up its sad! Except that I make them so not too sad, And the jig trailers are a must up here. The lakes around the cities are the same, lots of jiggin, and wormin too. But I love the topwater, I would suggest that when your ready! Cant wait for the spring bite! Its too cold out here! Good Luck!!
  11. I say go for it, our country needs more of this at this time. I have been working on it for about a year and plan on making it a full time job! If you have the motivation and tools, "just do it"! Your searching in the right place, these guys know what they are talking about and are never at loss for words! Good Luck!
  12. How do I get ahold of Jeff at M-F Plastics, I can't seem to find a phone number or email address. What website am I looking for?? Sorry for the dumb question.
  13. We shoot a lot of clear baits, Calhoun has been good, I have not tried MF. I have found that if you add a very small amount of color to counter the burnt amber tint, it does work well. I think that is what Del is saying. Control your temp, we keep ours at 315 after it is well mixed and melted. We also add stabilizer, that seems to help keep that clear look.
  14. "Tanks" everyone! Good info as always.
