my friend in Bali just bought new lure from megabass this lure have 2 holes in their back n there is tunnel to connected those 2 holes the seller tell my friend this holes n tunnel thing create to make a bubble when we retreive... anyone have tried to make this with wood??? maybe u can share little bit in this threat, thx sinyo

great lure..... i think it is not primitive but new breakthrough to create inexpensive lure not just that, it's can be a model for young children to start building a lure

maybe u can try curved lip...it really help to increase action on my lure.. IMHO

raining brick...yes you're right that what i was thinking too. after that the fish will see submarine parade running across the water:D almost every natural lakes or rivers in Java has a poor species of fish. this is not only affect by over fishing and poisoning but also from suckermouth catfish(local call it "sapu-sapu") this fish has invade our water n eat all local species eggs.. the only fish available is Nile Tilapia n other fish who can escaped from breeder net.. but in SOME remote area u can still find wild catfish, snake head and BARRA, me and my friends still searching for this spot your story about pork bait very funny, u can make all people at the party laugh with those story:lolhuh:

in here,we mostly fish on commercial pond( U paid what u got) this pond not big like a natural lake 2 times i have participate on gathering with the other anglers( 7-10 persons), we always got disappointing result on those gathering...the fish wont bite our cranks it's very different story if we fish in small group (2 persons)... i don't understand why it's happen? the best answer i got is, fish will run away or hide if they see lures parade.LOL have u has similar experience or answer about it??please share on this topic PS : the pond size around 10x20m. each angler has gap around 1 meter thx ernest

@diemai : thx for your advise @Spoopa : Ok I got your point..because in here I only use small lure i think I can delay too buy some baitcasting reel...until I can find another pond who has bigger fish so I can make and use a bigger lure once again thx to both of you ernest

sorry if U out there not familiar with BC term..but in here we call baitcasting reel with BC. your explanation about bird's nest very helpful, I just start changing from mono to braided line for my spinning reel. if I used it continuously sometimes the "bird's nest" happen(never happen when I still used mono) , but i don't know why this is can happen before u told me:yay: from now i must start to saving more money to buy a baitcasting reel n rod... thx diemai:worship: ernest

hi all many angler in Indonesia now change their spinning reel to BC reel for casting but still i dont understand about the advantage using BC rather than spinning reel. because this is not influence in my strike rate. can you guys explain it for me what is the advantage of BC reel... but in my personal perspective I prefer use spinning reel, because I can used it not just for casting but for the other technique too. thx ernest

@hazmail : thx for the commiseration.. back to topic : in some lure I leave them white...some I paint it in red for imitate bloody mouth..it depends on overall paint of my lure. @Vman : yes I always thinking about it too..can it survived in rocky environmental ? but I never got a chance to answer that question because I never fishing on those environmental...because majority pond in Jakarta has muddy bottom.. maybe someone out there can test it n give their judgment in this thread.... ernest

this is just alternative way to make curved lip.. this is for builder who has limited tool n skill like me.. I dont want to compete Hazmail tutorial .. for this lip, I use PVC pipe as material... draw a lip pattern on outside surface of PVC cut PVC with saw shape n make it smooth with nail cutter and sand paper attach to the lure done...it's very easy..u can make it in 5-10 minutes ernest
