  1. Well I tried it out, and it actually works:yeah:. It runs about 1 - 1 1/2 feet deep and has a really slow wiggle.
  2. Well, one is painted...looks kinda funny. But with only a piece of wood, wire, knife, sandpaper, needle nose pliers, sealant, and various colors of nail polish, what can you expect. I'm going to take it out in a couple hours to see how it works, or if it works. Thanks for the help, I'll have a lot more questions if I decide make a couple more.
  3. Yeah, I'm just using up some old stuff that the girlfriend doesn't use anymore. But what kind of solvent should I use to thin it down with? Acetone? Sorry for all the questions but I'm very new to this.
  4. I just made my first baits out of wood, I sealed them with sanding sealant and now I want to paint them but I dont want to go out and buy a bunch of paint. So I was wondering what you guys thought about painting them with nail polish. A sparkly silver, to imitate a shad. Also, I put two coats of the sanding sealer on the baits, but I only sanded them after the first coat. Should I sand them again before I paint? Thanks, John
  5. As much as I would love to get the Hagen's wire former, I just cant afford it, but the Boggs is in my price range. After I make some spinners and sell them, maybe I'll be able to get the Hagen's. Thanks for the help. -John
  6. I'm new to making lures. I'm looking to buy a wire former for making in-line spinners for about $50. If someone could give me suggestions on what kind to buy it would be very helpful. Thanks, John
