  1. Thank you for the ideas and information. I’m thinking I’ll try to brush it on so I can get a good coat
  2. Hello everyone , I’ve been airbrushing kreatex paints and it’s been going pretty well. However I believe I need a better airbrush with an adjustable tip. I tried to use superglow for the first time to day and thinned it with the same brand thinner made for it. Even with it heavily thinned I couldn’t spray it properly. Can anyone who has used this stuff with any success recommend a brush and or size that will spray this properly? thank you, Dave
  3. Thank you I appreciate your knowledge. I’ll give that a go!
  4. Hellos everyone. I’ve made wire baits for a good while and is like to try making some hard baits with colors I don’t see as much. I’m planning on painting a couple of baits not a huge batch and was wondering how much paint I should thin for say 4-10 range. All of the videos I see about mixing and thinning paint is half a bottle of paint. If I’m doing small amounts of a color should I go drop by drop or get a mixing cup? Any information would be appreciated as I’m a complete newb to this. I have an airbrush and some. Createx airbrush paints as well as createx thinner. thank you
  5. Thank you for the replies I modified my hagens for the .062 wire. It does work but even pushing in while forming the twists still leaves that even space. I just purchased the bucktail twister kasil listed above. Definitely worth a shot!
  6. Hello everyone, Does anyone have any advice on how to twist heavy gauge wire and keep the twists tight together? When you buy wire shafts with a loop they are right and most baits that are sold are done nicely also. I know we are talking about commercial grade but I’d like to at least get close to it. I have a Hagens and using .051 and .062 wire it’s a struggle to get a tight loop. It does twist the wire around the shaft evenly but not with tight twists even if I muscle it. I keep hearing about doing it by hand using a vice... would this work better? I’ve never seen it done this way so I’m not sure how to try it. Any advice would be appreciated.
  7. Thanks for all of the good ideas guys I will definitely try your ideas. I played around with my round nose and small pair of vice grip pliers I had and did pretty well with making the loop. I do need to work on getting it straight as its a little off center but it came out good otherwise with nice tight wraps.
  8. Hey everyone, Can anyone tell me how to make a closed loop to finish an inline spinner with .62 wire? I have a hagens and its giving me trouble doing this. I see a lot of guys online making spinners with .62 no problem and am just wondering how. Any info is appreciated thanks Dave
  9. Well. It seems after adjusting the piece in the middle near the bottom where you do the main bends i seem to be able to wrap the wire now. I guess I just needed a little extra amount so I could do it. Any advice on how to keep tight wraps? It twists down the shaft but doesn't keep tight together like a factory looped shaft is.
  10. Today I made sure it was as close to the perfect shape as possible to fit in the grooves. When I turned it I got almost a complete revolution around the shaft and then it popped out. I'm going to try different adjustments with the piece that comes down to hold the shaft in in hopes that fixes it like it seems to for you guys, does it need to be flush on the left side with the edge of where you put the wire in? I just cant seem to get those tight wraps around the shaft still =/ Thanks for the info everyone
  11. Hello everyone, I finally bought a hagens and the upgrade kit for .051 wire. So I got down the first basic bending with the peg on the bottom but I cant seem to get it right for twisting the wire to finish the loop. I can't seem to get it exactly perfect so it fits in the grooves up top and once I finagle them a bit so they fit in i shut that top hinge that seems to lock the main part of the shaft in and when I try to turn the handle to spin it it grinds and pops out!. If anyone can understand me, is there something im doing wrong here. I didn't get any instructions so I'm basically going off a couple of videos I have seen. Any information would be appreciated...
