  1. i like to do things the hard way so i wont take someone elses bait design and copy i did pull the lip out of the bait hollowed out more and stuck it back in and i have noticed i am getting a better wiggle now so thank you mark for that huge piece of advice here are pics if anyone else has anything to say thank you all for your responces
  2. ok i dont know if this is already discussed or not but i couldnt find it in a search so here goes i have been making flat sided baits for three years and have always had good action well the other day i decided to make a round body and when i got finished i went to fish it and it dosent swim its just like pulling a stick through the water any suggestions would be great i use jansnetcraft bills on all the cranks
  3. All paint is bad for you. if it bothers you then wear protective gear if it dosent bother you then dont worry to much about it if you want to realy get into it the bad chemical is called Xylene which no respirator on the market can filter so unless you have a mask that pumps fresh oxygen to it then no matter what you will breath it. other chemicals like ketones and toluene can be filtered with a respirator but in a well ventilated area you should be fine. but even latex paint in mass amounts will hurt you in the long run.
  4. If you shoot any other auto paint besides lacquer then you are dealing with isocyanates and there is no mask on the market that stops them other than a fresh air supply just letting you know not trying to start any trouble
  5. unless you are going to be spraying a good amount of lacquer then you realy dont need a resperator you just need a fan to pull the over spray away but if you want a mask 3m makes one sherwin williams will sell them there around 35 to 40 bucks in my area the catrdiges are charcoal based and for singles cost around ten bucks you wont need to change it to often the instructions say every sixty hours our so but i spray houses for a living and sometimes the mask sits in the truck for weeks on end and there still good they also will usualy have a pre filter wich catches bigger particules in the air like i said unless you are spraying a ton you realy dont need one you just need good ventaliation this is a quick search heres one from sears http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05005945000P?vName=Computers%20&%20Electronics=&cName=OfficeProducts&sName=Safety%20&%20Security=&psid=FROOGLE01&sid=IAx20090815x000001&aff=Y
