I cannot take credit for the design ,it's a copy of a Crane Bait, it's a hobby to make baits for myself. Crane Baits are not easy to get any longer
The material you can get at Hagens Called reverse Scale pattern also there is a website called Saltys he has the 1 inch wide. look up Holographic foil

Very nice clean details and finish, love bluegill baits for musky fishing. Are they top coated with AC1315?

You are correct, me and my brother we catch a ton of bass and big ones on the smaller sizes. You can buy the regular sizes on e-bay. I made this for muskie fishing large size from 7 inches to 10 inches over all lenght including diving lip. Bombers and Hellbenders were made around 1949, long time ago and they are very hot lures. I made a Hellbender I will post it when I get it painted
Thanks for asking Gino

Very nice, I am sure muskie would love to sink their teeth on them

You are the master

Thanks Mark, I was not sure if the screws were to hold on muskie baits. The action on glide baits it fur better than hardwood baits. I love the fact that there is no need for sealing the baits. Thanks every body

Great Idea Jio.
I have done this on 5 inch soft shad, works great for muskie

Yes diemai you cast them to deep water let them sink than retrieve it. Also you can buy new spoonplugs cheaper than e-bay at buckperry.com

Thanks Diemai. I plan on putting on 7/0 muskie size hooks on. These are actually Spoonplugs designed by Mr. Buck Perry, One of the greatest fisherman ever lived. The lure is designed to troll down to 60 feet bumping bottom. Buck designe 7 size Spoonplugs that mapped the bottom from 2 feet to 60 feet using No-Bo line and than using wire line when going below 30 feet. you can catch all species of fish on spoonplugs

I have a sheet metal box break in my shop

I believe that is a Striker, I have two of them (9.75 and a 7 inch) They are black with silver lightening bolt on the side, never fished them they are around 30 years old. Gino

Hello Dieter
Great job on the spoonplugs. I am a member of the spoonpluggers of America. Buck Perry invented the spoonplugs in order to map the bottom of the lake and also to know the make up of the bottom of the lake, He made seven sizes and each one would cover a predetermined depth, they are mostly used trolling and bumping the bottom in order to get a fish to strike, some time they want it free swimming. You can also cast them, let it sink to the bottom than bring them back. Spoonplugs catch everything that swims, including saltwater fish. I also make the larger spoonplugs for muskie fishing they are seven inches long, Buck only makes them up to 5 inches long, but even those and smaller ones catch plenty of big fish. You can also use wire if you have a boat than the spoonplug will double the original depth
Very nice work
