  1. I have a bass tour. this Sat. on Old Hickory Lake Tenn. I have found some good fish when there is current, but after they shut the dam off I can't find anything but small ones. Can anyone tell me where and how to fish with no current?
  2. Here's something that I'm doing to keep powder paint out of the hook eye. I have three young girls that love to mix up all of the colors of there play dough. Then it's to ugly to use. I just put just enough on to cover the hook eye and heat and dip. It's alot easier to get out, and hey, it's recycling.
  3. I have a bass tour. this Sat. It is on Old Hickory lake in Tenn. I found a few fish when they were pulling some water. Then they shut off the dam and I can't seem to find any good fish now. Do any of you have any suggestions.
  4. I made several "S" hooks out of a small dia. stainless steel wire. I put them in the eye of the hooks and hang them up. If there is a run it will go down onto the collar area. Also they help keep the hook eyes clear.
  5. Hey guy's, I would like to try spoon fishing for bass, like what has become so popular on Ky. Lake. Can you give me some tips on how, when and where? Also, where can I get those large spoons CHEEP! The ones in the shops are way to high.
  6. I used a paper vaccum bag. Just cut out what I needed and glued them to my cups. The air comes threw just fine. Hope this gives you another thought.
  7. I would like to find a large paddle tail worm (12"). Can anyone help?
  8. There is no wrong way to fish a jig. Just let the fish tell you what they won't. I fish the football ALOT, and if you are having trouble hooking up, use a 7 / 7.5 foot rod, Floro. line, and maybe a lighter wire hook. As far as trailers, any crawfish pattern works great, but don't be afraid to think outside of the box. I've had alot of luck useing brushhogs and 10 inch worms.
  9. This may not be for you, but I made myself a hanging rack for my toaster ovens. Then made some hooks out of stainless steel wire, which I hang my jigs up with the hook eye. If there is some running it will go down the shank, so the head of the jig will never have any deforms. And unless you have way too much paint on the jig, the run on the shank will never actually show up. But yes you need a fluid bed. I made mine myself and still use my hangers, and never have (The Runs).
  10. Man they look great! How are you keeping the head hot while painting?
  11. Thanks for all of the replies! But I am interrested about the FG-30's. That's what my molds require and they sell better.
  12. I have the 1/2, 3/4, and 1oz. PT mold, and i am looking for some hooks that can be used in it, insted of the Mustad 91768 28 degree. This hook is a bit high priced, and I have had some of the guys say they did not like them.
  13. :?I am a small time jig maker, and I am always looking for a way to save some money. I need help finding cheap weed guards, or materal to make my own. Can anyone help me?
