  7. I use an ice cream maker motor with paddle a I made. If it can stir ice cream, it can stir thickened plastisol
  8. I use the top to a butter dish I bought from Wal-Mart. It works alright. Tight Lines, George
  9. It takes a few mours on my RTV molds to get the warmed up so I don't have these lines. They are the same "cold cracks" you read about with two colors

  12. I did the same thing you did. I ended up throwing everything away, burning my hand severely, WITH GLOVES ON, because the injector exploded. I went to bears and other places like that. to fix your plastic you have you need lots of hardener, and ask around for some samples of plastic. Choose one and then you're good to go! I have a few one piece aluminum molds I can part with, PM me if you're interested. George
  13. Maybe this could work? My link the wood will not work unless you coat it with something like JB weld, but even that can be hit and miss. go to a welding shop or tractor dealership with a repair shop and see if they have some scrap rod big enough, they would even have the tools to round the nose, and possibly weld a handle on the the end to make dipping easier (although this would weigh a ton). Maybe you could get some thin wall pipe and snip the ends and bend it to make round, the JB weld the cracks? something kinda like deiter has been woking on with a crankbait idea. Mainly look at the ends of the bait. It think this would work for you. My link Tight Lines, George
  14. I talked to my mom who actually knows what she's doing with web design, and she said its a bit of both, I will make it so the default for the pages fits just right on a 15" monitor, on anything larger it will have a bit of extra space on the edges. i just get real narrow minded after working on a big thing for a long time. thanks for the input guys George
  15. Thanks guys, Which pages do you have problems with the left and right scroll? I have a bigger computer screen so it fits mine.
  16. hey folks, I just got a bit more work done on my website, and was just wondering if I could get some pointers, ideas, and tips. gd-lures.com Tight Lines, George
  17. http://www.wenesco.com/dip.htm Here is a link. This company sells pots for commercial operations from lures to food services. There is a viscosity chart on the near the bottom that someone smarter than me could use to help find a good motor that's small enough to fit a presto, but strong enough for plastisol. http://www.qcminds.com/lure_plastisol.php Here is another for some plastisol, It even has a viscosity chart at the bottom, anyone use this stuff? Thanks, George
  18. You can use almost all of the bass baits on the market. My favorite are soft plastics though. A 7"-8" ribbon tail worm, Texas rigged, frogs on top, tubes. early in the years I use red spinnerbaits, or just fish my crappie ponds until I start seeing bass swim over the spawn beds looking for a meal. George
  19. I will take this. PM me your PayPal please George
  20. Shore minnow. My great grandfather, my grandpa, and now I have all caught our biggest fish on the same lure. I put it in a shadow box now because its now historical.

    Pike bait.jpg

Diemai, This is the one I asked you about almost a year ago. I made it with some very light wood, and struggled with the weights. I only use oak now, since I generally only have to add a very small amount of weight, somewhere around 3/8-1/2 oz, and not 2 oz like this one!
  22. With colors like Chartreuse it will turn the plastic scrambled egg yellow, I use that for a bluegill belly

    3.5" Swimbait

this one isnt quite done yet in this photo, the hook hanggers were only in position, but not screwed in, and the rear hinge now has a hidden wire like the front. As it was drying, this looked like a good picture.
