I agree with cadman its to cold. I have to get the lead hotter with some jig molds to get the collar to form good. On the erie jig I always crank it up to 10 and get the mold good and hot before starting to pour. On others on pour on 7 with no problems.

since I made my fluid bed I have not had the problem must have just been to much paint

Its still orginized because its still fairly new just moved to the basement the first of the year. Started this fall in the garage but after it got to cold i cleaned out the utility room and moved down there. Im sure in a year it will look nothing like it does now.

Thats the utility room in the basement. Years ago when we redid the kitchen i moved the old counter top and cabinets in it for a workshop for me. Finally cleaned it out and used it for something other than storage.

Ok i just started making some muskie bucktails and courious where is the best place to buy all the materials to make them. I have been buying from Janns Netcraft but have read that some of you have better sources for some of your material both price and quality. Currently I am using Flashabou Holographic for the skirting is that what everyone else uses or is there something better. Thanks for all you help.

Well I made my fluid bed this afternoon. I used hot glue to glue the base to the plexiglass and also the filter to the cup and it worked well. Just got done painting some jigs and it is alot faster and alot easier with better results. Thanks for the plans and the advise you were a great help.

I have not base coated any of my jigs. Is it necessary and why?
