  1. Just wondering, What exactly are we looking at here and how does it work?
  2. Just wondering if anyone has tried cooling aluminum molds. I was wondering if it would warp the mold if I put it in cold or icy water when it is hot or if I would be able to pour into a very cold mold. The reasons I want to do this are to speed up production, I get one mold really hot and the other reason is to keep the salt/silica/glitter from settling in super soft mixes. Will this affect my aluminum mold?
  3. This thread is getting very informative, the more info and descriptions you guys can offer is great, thanks.
  4. what would you call the standard stick recipe? I am wondering what other people are using for plastics and how much salt or softeners are added. Thanks.
  5. Does anyone know where I can get the small plastic tubing some companies use for spinnerbait blade and bead spacing?
  6. Great idea with the glue in the mold, I am going to try that as there is one lure I pour for a friend that seams to crack. It is so thick and stays warm so long it cracks the POP. I have tried a very thick mold but still no luck. I was going to try adding an aggregate such as fibers/stones but will try the glue first.
  7. Just wondering if anyone has cracked the Yamamoto Senko recipe? I have found that they have the most wiggle and movement of any other stick bait and would like to copy them. I am thinking it has to do with a lot of salt and a soft plastic but stiff enough to react to the bend to snap back.
  8. If they come out sticky, I just roll them in salt and throw them in the package, works great.
  9. They look great, Where did you get the mold?

    New swimbait

Great Job, Just wondering what size eyes do you use with this bait and where do you get them? Also, when you pour these you obviously have different colors, how quickly do you pour on top of the previous pours. Great job on the colors and selections.
  12. Dang, I couldn't find the Elmers either so I bought the TiteBond and was going to do them tonight, did you use a 60/40 ratio, I have never tried finishing them this way, I have tried lacquers, spray ons, paints, and nothing has worked so I hope this does.
