  1. Great video dave, as always Congratulation on your 3kg bawal (red belly pacu), one of my favorite fresh water species beside snakehead. If im not mistakenly the fishing pond in your story is called "galatama pond", you pay the ticket and compete usually 1-2 hour per round, and typically the local angler compete for the money prize only, yes some kinda undercover gambling The fish released back after weighting. And the rule is using bait (boilie or dough) made from tapioca powder and food flavoring essence and you cant use floater or make the bait float, and lure is prohibited I have few angler buddy in bandung, and they are lure angler targeting for snakehead or bawal. I can introduce you to them, PM me if you interested.
  2. Hi ben I've got the exact same question like you and trying to find out the answer but i think the experts here care to share some light to me. Sorry Ben, cant be more helpfull i/m just the amateur fajar
  3. Red mahogany and teak wood works fine with me and easily available here
  4. Thanks for the advice diemai , Already try those idea with less luck .. sorry. You're right, its hard to maintain the heat on those aluminium mesh, or because aluminium is cool faster than stainless, another problem is hard to keep the pressure of those mesh on curve body of my stickbait so the heat would make a pattern (embossed) on the wood evenly, since those mesh is extremely hot . I guess the result would be better with the flat side lure ... Meanwhile i think i'm gonna stick with those round chisel and file to make scale pattern
  5. Thanks diemai, n good luck to you too
  6. Great idea fig, can you show me the pic'..?? I think i'm gonna give it a try on my stickbait
  7. Brilliance idea dieter... Think i have to build this one, wondering... any luck with the fish? thanks
