  1. Can someone please direct me to a thread explaining how to assemble the line tie through the bill of a flatside crank that has a lexan lip? I noticed today while tuning some of my cranks that the devcon clear coat will crack and basicallty be destroyed if the line tie is into the wood on the crankbai and not through the lip, thanx!
  2. Just my here but people are gonna copy your work if they like it whether it's patented or not, they may not let it be known but they'll copy it. On the same hand the tons and tons of fisherman who don't wanna fool with making baits are gonna buy it if they like it, so if you ask me post away!
  3. I saw some of the Duplicator threads and that isn't exactly what I was talking about, I think I found a machine that will do what I need it to, it is called the CarveWright and I know that it has the capabilities I just don't know if it has the software available to desing my own 3D lure bodies, now granted with this machine I would have to do the lures in halves and glue them togther but that has its advantages in that with the with the machine I could acurately produce the holes for the hook eyes as well as hollow the bait out for the addition of wieghts/rattles, I'm waiting on the software dept of that company to get back in touch with me right now.
  4. Awesome Thanks! I Assume you mean on here?
  5. there about 3 3 1/2 inches or so
  6. Thinking about getting some sort of computer operated wood cutting machine sometime down the road. I know they have something capable of this but I don't know what it's called Anyways looking for something that can produce original 3d crankbait bodies at a pretty good clip, can anyone help me out here? Just wondering where and what I need to be looking for thankx.
  7. Thanks for the Info I appreciate, glad to hear that I'm not the only one having problems with it.
  8. Alright lets hear what the pros have to say, these are pics of my new handmade cranks. I think they look rather spiffy for only my second batch I've done with the Ole' airbrush!
  9. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the best way to primer/basecoat a wooden lure, I've been using my airbrush but this takes entirely to long, especially with light/bright colors like orange or chartruese, it's taken me the better part of an hour and a half to put an orange base over a black primer and I'm still not finished! (hind sight being 20/20 I realize that white might have been a better primer choice here) Anyways I didn't know if you guys could enlighen me to some quicker methods or not, thanks. -Bassinhomer
  10. Hello All I'm new to this forum as well as new to the wondefull world of tacklemaking. I've got interest in making hard baits, crankbaits ect. I'm extemely interested in those swimbaits you guys make, geez the talent! I've scoped out parts of your gallery as well and you all truly are artist. I'm actually in the process of painting two new bluegill crankbaits that I have made and hopefully will be able to make some post with pics of those here shortly. Anyways good to meet all of you(hopefully) and I look forward to learning and discussing this great art with you all.
