That could possibly work. Its hard to explain what im doing. Basically a mouse that is a popper but still has the profile of a mouse. Like coned head and stuff.

I dont have any suggestions, but your right. They dont swim worth a crap. Ive caught a few fish off of them but its nothing like normal. One actually sank.

I saw this thing on a fly at some point that was basically a small plastic cone/cup that was attached to the front of the fly that basically turned it into a popper. Does anyone know where to get anything like that?

So i do need to be using epoxy as a clear coat? I have just been dipping them in poly crylic. But then again, you can still feel the wood.........

I use to make my own topwater lures when i first got into bass fishing. I just came up with a brand new design that i think alot of people will want. I used to just paint my topwaters with a paint brush and model paint. Im wanting to start using a air brush. I know the basics but what kind of paint and clear coat or whatever do i need?
