  1. We have a huge cookie sheet but it's thick. I would get some small cheap ones and put them on a griddle and pour on that. They will be thin metal so heated quickly and higher temp and small so your work time is extended.
  2. Any updates? If it worked show us a video please

all i have is the starter set of createx paints. its just plain ol transparent blue. i think the pearl behind it makes it pop a little.

thanks guys. top coat is etex. or enviro tex lite. you can get it at A.C. Moore or Hoby Lobby. i use my 50% coupons this bait actually has 2 coats because the first one was still tacky after 12 hrs. the rest will prob get another ctat as well we have lots of mudfish around here and they can destroy some baits

  13. had to have been the ratio, i was in a hurry and didnt use my measuring mixing cups. im running low but i guess i will have to use one now and ill just throw a second coat on all of them.
  14. i put a coat on 4 cranks and they came out fine, did a second batch and the 2 i put the Etex on are still tacky. couple questions.... 1) will a second coat affect the baits movement? 2) is it safe to add a coat on top of the coat that is tacky? i have read of people doing 2 coats, but i know that most of those people were using them on gliders so the action really wouldnt be messed up that much. these cranks are 1.5 KO if it helps.

    1st pour swimbait

for me to get a good flat side i slow down once the cavity is close to being full. i also like to pour plastic until the back is kinda mounded above the cavity that way when it shrinks it shrinks to flat instead of caving in. looking at the top of the head, that from the mold. you could try filling the cavity to just under that part on the mold and as long as you keep the plastic in the cavity you should have to worry about edges they should be perfect.
  16. can tips and needles be switched between brands? i dont think anyone around her carries the paasche stuff.
  17. its a paashe dont know the model. ill double check the tips, im pretty sure i threw the 3s away mine only came with 3, and 5.
  18. i have been having issues with my airbrush. long story short is basically wants to do the splatter effect ALL THE TIME. i have tried thinning the paint more, leaving it thick, turning the preassure on the compressor up, turning it down. i have a water seperator in line right at the compressor....that never has any water in it... one thing i have noticed is at the tip of the airbrush. my tip is a 2 part tip...little part that the needle pokes out of then a bigger part that holds the brass tip inside. right now im using a 5 tip and needle as i believe while i was cleaning i threw away my 3.anyway the tip. where i tighten the big tip to the brush i have been getting watery bubbles i cant tighten it down any more. after work im going to try to get some teflon tape on there and hope it doesnt get in the way of the paint. just not sure what to do at this point. i have done several good cleanings, looked inside and there are no blockages. any ideas?
  19. i think alot of people use alumilite
