  1. Looking for some help and input with Spike it colorant Ive never used it so I would love to hear form people who have. How strong is it? Is it pretty concentrated per drop? Obviously price plays a role in all our colorant options but some are much stronger than others. Also, how is the hard packing over time? Not too bad? Any overall experience with it and pros/cons would be very helpful! I tried to search first but didn't find much Thank you! Brian

    Using Salt

Hey Bob, I use restaurant grade as well but how do you avoid it sinking to fast for larger batches? I get some with less salt and some with more? doing small 2 cup batches stirring by hand is good but Im curious about when I use a presto pot with sitrrer. Even though it stirs, the bottom still gets caked in salt at the bottom
  7. Hey got a question guys! I know alot of you know alot of people so it is worth asking. Does anyone know of bigger companies that will dip baits? I understand it would be large quantities, Im aware of that. But Im looking for a company that with take the baits, then eye and dip them. Many companies out there eye and dip swimbaits or dip tubes, so companies do it I just need to find someone who will or can contact. Thank you Brian
  8. its paul krew... check him out on facebook... very talented pourer
  9. yes, my question is how do companies effectively "dip" (put a clear coat of plastic) on a bait such as swimbaits and tubes. I know alot of us do it on frogs as well. I was wondering if anyone has found the fastest way to do this, and also if anyone knows how the bigger companies do it.
  10. Question that hopefully some has an answer to, how do the mass produced baits get dipped? whether it be holly belly swimbaits with eyes or tubes, how do they do it at a very high productive level? Does anyone know of companies that are will to do this? Any info would be great, Thanks Brian

    Cray Z Craw and Sticks

single cavity crayzcraw sold... one more left!
  12. Thank Mike, Yes i was posting it bc i was unfamiliar with hardpacking and wasnt sure if this was "normal" or a bad thing with the plastic before going to call Bruce over. I have only used MF so I wasnt familiar with plastics that would need extensive mixing. Another reason i didnt call Bruce and asked here first was becuase it was a thursday night (they were closed ) and they are closed on fridays as well so I couldnt call. So thank you for the responses, and yes mike it is EXACTLY how you described your experience with LC's a while ago... so hard that when you scraped it, it literally felt dry! Thank you for your help guys Brian

    Cray Z Craw and Sticks

Hey guys, I got the basstackle cray z craw 4.25" molds... 1 is a single cavity and the 2nd one is a 2 cavity but one of the two cavities has the little 2 eyes on both side... exact same bait but one has two eyes on both sides of the baits... These molds are BRAND NEW! Literally Brand New.. was not what the customer was looking for and I have no need for them.. the molds are great and shoot perfect Single Cavity-- $45 TYD http://www.Basstackle.com/Cray_Z_Craw_mold_4_25_p/4.25craw.htm 2 Cavity-- $75 TYD http://www.Basstackle.com/Cray_Z_Craw_mold_4_25_p/4.25craw2cavity.htm Open to offers as well....buy all of them and we can make a deal, if you want to trade I will trade for 3.5" Real Craw and 6" Flat belly finesse worm hinged mold from bears thanks for looking
  17. cool, thanks for the info frank, never heard of them before ill check it out !
  18. Thanks for the super insightful and helpful comment you made! Really added to the topic! You mind helping even further and telling me where you may purchase a pot like that?
  19. yea, ive been thinking the same thing.... when i used pourasol i got a ton of micro bubbles as well. Was really hoping for a great plastic since ive heard such positive things about it Im in the exact same boat as you Tubeman.. not im not sure if i should switch to it And how do you do 4 gallons at a time??
  20. i have the exact same problem... never was able to figure it out either ... its always seemed perfectly mixed with no packing but the baits never came out well
  21. Question for you guys! For those of you who sell baits... how do you decide which baits to add and when you do ... how many Cavities do you buy at first to be able to produce them? but at the same time not break the bank too much on a bait you arent sure will sell yet? For example-- if you like a single cavity design and you now want to carry it. Many of use would like to be able to shoot at least to bags a shot. so packs of 6 would be 12 molds. 12 x $50 = $600. Thats alot of cash on a bait that you havent sold yet and that takes alot of bags to make that cost up. So I was wondering and thought it would be interesting to hear how you all go about adding a new bait to your product line? brian
  22. funny u should ask... now I may be wrong but i believe this EXACT design was created, made, and sold by bass tackle until yum found it and decided to make it their and stopped any sales of the molds and baits.
  23. Always have heated in the pot as well
