    Bomber Ko's

Does anyone know of anywhere that sell's any bomber KO's?
  2. The clearity is good. I poured some clear worms with holographic and blue flake last night and they looked really good. As for floating, the soft floats great. I made a craw mold that is about 5in and weights well over an ounce. It is a beast and it floated when i threw it into the fish tank. As for the hard it is not as boyant. But I have to say the soft seems very strong yet very very soft. Seems like it will hold up well. the bubbles are not bad at all but like i said this is the only brand i have used. Mike
  3. I am new to pouring and i went with the lureworks. I just poured my first few baits and it seems pretty good. I have both the soft and hard. The soft is really soft and seems pretty durable. It smokes a bit when heating but i use a hot plate not a microwave.
  4. Are you talking about candy type paints? If so I have read on one of the airbrushing forums that you can mix pledge floor wax with future shine with either acrylic paint or food coloring in a one to one ratio and it will give you candy paint. I have yet to try it but I am going to. I think it will be pretty cool if it works. I guess it works well be cause the floor wax is a clear acrylic base and that way it mixes well with the acrylic paint. Mike

    Lure Turner

Thanks, BobP. It seems to work great. I put my first coat of e-tex on my first three lures and the two my sons painted for me and they look great. The motor did get pretty warm but i wouldn't say it was hot so i think it should last for a while. I can put lures on while it is turning but i am not sure how well i can paint them while its turning. Thanks rofish for the comments. I don't think heat will be that big of an issure but i will keep and eye on it. I will post some pics of my lures once they are done. Thanks, Mike
  6. Has anyone made a life like Helgramite mold out of PoP? If so how did it turn out? Any pics would be awsome. Thanks, Mike
  7. My first shot at airbrushing. Not bad but not great.

    Lure Turner

Well i got it made today. I am very happy with it. here are a couple of pics. What do you think? It will hold up to 8 baits with the possibility of 16 with some quick modifications.

    Lure Turner

I am planning on building a lure turner tomorrow and i have a few questions. Before i get blasted for not using the search feature, I have searched just have not gotten my clear answer. I have a 6rpm motor out of a microwave( so nice that the neighbors set it in the trash tonight ). I am turning 2-4in. baits, i want to do 5 or 6 baits at a time, and i am going to be using e-tex. I am planning on using a 1in dowl rod as the axis. Now to the questions. Should the bait be turned nose over tail(vertical) or bottom over top(horizontal) around the axis? Should six inches from the axis be a good distance with the 6rpm the motor puts out? Thanks to everyone in advance for the help and thanks for this site. I have learned so much about painting and pouring baits here. Mike

    New Here.

Hey everyone, My name's Mike and I have been reading the site for the last few weeks. I am trying to save money on tackle this year so I decided to try my hand at painting my own lures and pouring my own soft plastics. I just have a few questions about painting cranks. I just order a 15 baits from Predator Bass Baits because a lot of people seemed to like his stuff. I bought 5 of each of his dt16, dt10, and white top water walker type baits. My first question is what should i glue the bills on the crankbaits with? Should I use dt2 or something else? Should I paint them before or after i put the bill on? I am going to be using Envirotex Lite for the clear final coat, I am in the process of finding a spinner for the curing process. I also just picked up a cheapo air brush from Harbor Freight and am borrowing an air compressor for the time being. My next question is, is it okay to use craft paints if thinned with water. I have access to every color under the sun. I have watched a few video's of people using it and their results seemed good. I want to get my feet wet in all this before I spend 4+ per bottle of paint. Just to make sure i can get the hang of it. Thanks for reading and I know it is probably the same questions that every newbie has and I have read through the forums a bunch. I guess I am the type of person that needs the answers for myself. Thanks again and any feed back would be greatly welcomed. Thanks, Mike
