  1. The wobble I mentioned is the worm on the hook. Supposedly the Jackall head makes it do this. I am hoping the Do-It mold will make a jig that does the same thing.
  2. I searched and read the threads from last year on the Wacky Jig Mold and see that it looks like a challenge to make these jigs. But my question is; How do the jigs fish compared to the tungsten jigs that a major manufacturer makes? Is there any difference in how they wobble as they fall? I appreciatte you thoughts. Thanks
  3. Excellent! Thank you, Sir.
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. Has anyone tried this yet? http://www.basstackle.com/product_p/wackywormmold9.htm I love the action but wonder if the bass will hit one side and not be hookable? What do you think?
  5. I want to try dipping some hollow-body swimbaits and need to find some tall & narrow containers that are microwave safe for the plastic. Any suggestions are appreciated
  6. David at Hook Solutions did a great job on a custom mold that includes a 1 oz and 3/4 oz shakey head for deep water in summer at Tablerock. I am looking for suggestions on a worm mold for a big worm (at least 10 inches) that really wags its tail. I plan to use float additive so that should help. Would love to know what you guys have had good luck with. I can inject or hand pour.
  7. Thanks for the help guys.
  8. So if I did not want to dip the bait how could I get a bit of color on the belly? Do I need an airbrush and paint or dye? Thanks for the help
  9. I am wondering if there is a way to use powdered coloring on a bait as an accent. Like putting a bit of orange on the belly of a plastic swimbait or adding some dark streaks / lines. I recall reading here that someone was using a small brush to do this? Any tips would be most welcome.
  10. Bob, I have been making some lately and just use a couple of Dixie cups (stacked), heat for a minute, dip past the eyes and then dip in a cup of water. It goes as fast as I can dip them.
  11. Great information. Thanks guys. I am having a hard time picturing the trailer jack/platform rig
  12. I need to make a raised pedestal for my presto pots. Anyone have a specific design that works well? I want ro cantilever the spout over the edge of the workbench so I can pour directly into an injector
  13. I am looking for Purple that will bleed. Please let me know if you have any extra.
  14. The truth is - if you want to save $$ do not get involved in this hobby. I won't ever use enough baits to recover my investment but it is a hobby for me and I expected to spend money. As far as choice of plastic - there are a TON of threads already in this forum. Just run a search and you will get all the points of view. These are some very helpful gentlemen, so hang around and read all about it.
  15. A lot of times here at Tablerock Lake we are working to do the opposite; Make a heavier bait with smaller blades to keep it running deeper with a smaller profile. War Eagle makes a 1/2 oz bait with the blades of a 1/4 oz and puts the extra weight along the hook shaft. That Gargoyle looks like it might work slower and really helicopter on the fall.
  16. Thanks for that report. We don't have any grass in Tablerock, where I fish 99% of the time but if it makes sense that it is not the "next Alabama Rig". If it was, KVD would be using it. LOL Still, if anyone has a few laying around, I would be happy to pay you for them and give it a try.
  17. Just wondering if anyone on here has made or has these type spinnerbaits and if so how you liked them.
  18. Thanks for the replies, guys. I also use them on a mini-carolina or "mojo" rig with a spinning rod. I love the BT molds and Kevin just introduced a longer model. I hope to get a chance to pour some of these baits this evening.
  19. I'm not sure I have ever seen a real Centipede, but I did Google them and saw a bunch of different colors. Just wondering if anyone here had a recipe that works to imitate the nasty-looking little buggers in your area.
  20. That is Cool. What a great way to get a 3rd color.
  21. That is a great idea. I would not have thought of that. Have you had any bonding problems between the plastics?
  22. Good point. On the few occasions that they have stayed in place the baits came out alright but it might result in torn baits. I better just order some spare blades. I'm clumsy;)

    Purple Glitter - Bleeding

Old style bleeding purple glitter wanted
  24. I have several swimbait molds that have a blade to form a hook slot in the bait. Every time I open the molds the blade comes out. Is there a way to glue it in without ruining the mold? Would epoxy hold up? Thanks
  25. David Aery at Hook Solutions is making a custom jig mold for me. You might want to check with him, Info is under Resources
