  1. I only pour, paint, tie, and fish the weedless brush jig. I modified the mold to accept wire weed guards and I use an owner deep throat hook. This jig has caught alot of smalljaws. I will be using the bigger mold this winter to pour bigger jigs for silicone skirts for the largemouths.
  2. Has anyone used a similar product that is available at Lowes or Home Depot?
  3. what size jigs are you tying? Without a rotating vise its going to be tough. It can be done... just a lot of standing and bending. JM2C, J
  4. UPDATE!! I just tried a run of black stamina powder paint from Lure Parts Online. I dont know what the problem was.. I heated the head as would any jig and this stuff just bubbled as if it were too hot. When I shortned the heating time it wouldnt stick, I ruined a few jigs before i dumped the powder in the garbage and went back to Pro-Tec.
  5. Sally Hansenworks for me. I had tied buckhair on an old spinnerbiat back during the summer used in saltwater and freshwater caught about 30 fish on it and threw it into some heavy cover and the threads havent come loose.
  6. Stamina Powder Paint from Lure Parts Online comes in 4 oz testers for 7.99 or you can buy it by the pound. Hopes this helps! G-Bait custom lures coming soon!
  7. Guys thanks so much I ordered some surflon and now im going to order the wire weedguards from lure parts online.
  8. Do you have a item number I may have to order it and I want to make sure I get the right item. Thanks for your help,
  9. Hello, Im new here. I have searched all over here for these answers but I have been unsuccesful. I found a thread on PJ's shakey heads and the wire weedguard they use. One thread suggested to ask PJ's about the wire used in their weedguards. I did this and emailed PJs... The answer I got was "stainless steel" no more no less. Now for the questions: I am looking for a twisted wire weedguard to use in a future modified pro brush jig mold and a football shakey head mold. Where can I find this mysterious braided wire? What diameter? I am looking for a plyable yet stiff wire just like this picture below. The jig shown has been used and abused so the wire has seperated a bit. Guys any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks All Jeremy
