Were can you purchase the true image foil?
  2. I know ACE Hardware has D2ton. Is envirotex cheaper? Does it have any advantages?
  3. Definitely devcon 2 ton epoxy. It is waterproof and dries clear making it perfect for wooden lures. You can purchase it at an ACE, Home Depot or Lowes.
  4. I just purchased a single action airbrush at hobby lobby. I also purchased silver pearlescent, opaque white, black and green createx paints as well as devcon 2 ton epoxy. I can't wait to start painting, but FIRST any tips for your first time painting. -Do you think painting eye's directly on the bait is better than buying fish eye stickers? -Any tips for shadowing? -How should I avoid bubbles in the epoxy? -Are there any safety precautions I need to take? Thanks!
  5. Definitely go for it. As long as the dimensions aren't copied you are okay. I can show you how to make a nice website for that cost only $10 a year. Or you can use ebay.
  6. If I purchased that $20 set of lathe tools, would the dremel benefit me in sharpening them. Could I easily sharpen them in a short amount of time? Sonny.Barile...I will most likely get a drill chuck(only $15). What brand turning tools would you all recommend?
  7. Do you know if a cheap paint mask is enough when you are airbrushing?
  8. I would like to start air brushing. Can someone recommend me a good value quality airbrush?
  9. So you think this lathe http://www.harborfre...athe-95607.html is the best option. I have a dremel tool with grinding wheels that may be able to sharpen the blades. When you say file, do you mean this http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&authuser=0&biw=1280&bih=666&tbm=isch&tbnid=UCfBwj1u3dFwWM:&imgrefurl=http://www.scharptools.com/Met-fil-regular.htm&docid=du0WHaTgNdzwzM&imgurl=http://www.scharptools.com/metal/file%2526burr/steel_file_11.jpg&w=400&h=345&ei=2u4yT8TgN-zq0QG3qbT2Bw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=625&sig=105183455930812936283&page=2&tbnh=151&tbnw=175&start=18&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:18&tx=109&ty=117? Also, could you give me a link to a set of chisels that you would recommend.
  10. I want to buy a small lathe for turning wooden lures. I wold also like some lathe tools if that is possible. I want a quality lathe but would like to pay less than $100.
  11. If I wear a paint mask(standard cheap mask at Home Depot) and have a fan blowing the fumes out the door, am I okay? I really want to pour some soft plastics, but I don't want to harm myself. Are there any health risks that have been known to occur?
  12. I want to begin making some more professional looking lures and would like to buy a lathe and an airbrush kit. I would like to spend less than $200. I already have a dremel 200 which allows me to make extremely custom and unique lures, but I would like a lathe to speed up the process. Here are the best values I have found on lathes-tell me if you know of any other values or are selling a lathe yourself. - http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00922106000P?mv=rr - http://www.grizzly.com/products/H2669 - http://www.harborfreight.com/garage-shop/stationary-wood-lathes/8-inch-x-12-inch-bench-top-wood-lathe-95607.html - http://fortmyers.craigslist.org/col/tls/2816616599.html Lathe tools- - http://www.harborfreight.com/8-piece-wood-lathe-turning-tool-kit-3793.html Airbrushing supplies- - http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/createx-airbrush-paint/ - http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/paasche-airbrush-sets/460160.aspx - http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/fishing-lure-paint/023025000411.aspx Tell me what you think. 14. Did you use an epoxy to finish the lure, or a clear coat? What type of epoxy/clear coat?
