  1. Well i hope this works because this is what i have for a while until i understand or get good on the airbrush. The neo came with a .35 tip i believe so I'm hoping that will help me with the detail that i need to do since i really won't be doing fine lines quite yet. I also got createx transparent paints so hopefully that shoots easy so i don't have to many complications to start with.

i would be cautious with guitar wire i play guitar and some of the strings i have seen have corroded over time and became very brittle you might have to go stainless steel or something protected. A thought come to mind like the titanium weed guards on a terminator jig possibly?
  3. Hi there new to the forum but joined because i heard incite here is outstanding and so far its been incredible. I recently bought two airbrushes. One is a central pneumatic from arbor freight but i mostly bought it for the compressor since it was a kit for 89 bucks i thought what the heck. I then also bought a iwata neo both these airbrushes have a .35 tip. I also bought create paint kit witch comes with 4 transparent colors and 2 opaque colors. I was inquiring on how i should thin these I've been researching and have came up with the fuzzy conclusions. Ive read you can thin with distilled water but heard it dilutes the bindings in the paint so the other option was diluter/extender? I would just like to know what i can use before I even start so i don't get terrible results. Please some help and much appreciated, jim.

  15. This is one lure me and my father made using wood and plexiglass for the bill. This pic is unfinished but gives you an idea of what we do for fun. This particular one is about a foot in length. We made hooks for this out of tomato cage and i put red reflector for the eyes makes it really stand out, anyway a pic somewhat completed.
  16. Hi there tackle underground peeps. I live approximately 60 miles west of chicago and was turned on to this site from another forum bass resource.com. I am actually a part of a few forums and for their websites it is customary to provide a hello and for you guys to get to know me. I primarily fish for bass when the waters are open in illinois lol. My personable best is just under 6 lbs on a small private lake around 350 acres. Anyways decided to join this site because me and my father to part in this interest in replicating lures in a much larger scale i guess for display models they just look neat in a man cave. We have made a bagley fat cat, spro little john, paw paw, super spook, etc. We have fun doing these and all of are friends are happy to have one hanging in there man cave. I have had questions about paint schemes and how to make paint luke more realistic and was told this site will definitely give me some answers. Upon browsing i have came across a lot of helpful tips and tricks and immediately knew i had to be a part of this site, so on that i would like to say thanks for having me. Jim
