  1. Was wondering if anyone has made a wireformer like the twistech with any sucess i am thinking about trying to make one similr to it. Would be interested in seeing some pictures of some homemade wireformers if anyone has them to share. Thanks
  2. Try Cadman on here he has some colors if not try Barlows or JANNS NETCRAFT they both have a nice selection. I think TJs tackle has it also.
  3. Just ordered some filter boards from TJs tackle . I am the type that will pull know punches i will give you a honest update when i get them. I tried coffee filters, tyvex , coffee and tyvex combined . I seem to alway get a little valcano action and when i turned air down was not getting fluid action like i wanted. TJs said should notice a difference, we will see hopefully by this weekend. They were not that expensive so if they work they will be worth it. I bought enough to do 6 cups , four 2" and two 3" and if they work out i plan on ordering more .
  4. I did the same thing with the test cap cut out the very bottom so all you have left is ring with the lip you can cut out excess by following along the edge of test cap . Would also like to try and see a piece of this filter board every one is talking about if at all possiable and where to buy it. Thanks
  5. I am new to powder painting just wondered where the best place to buy powder paint . I am thinking a min. of a 4 oz. jars do to my fluid bed size in order to get depth . Maybe even 1 lbs. not sure what sizes are even avaiable. The 1 lbs would be plenty wouldnt even be able to put it all in cup . I also would like to know my cups are 3" in diameter and 3" tall with a 60 gal. pump how full should i fill my cup most videos show abaout a inch from the top. Been searching online today for a polyethylene porus style filters for the bottom of cup need to knoow how fine of filter one needs i read something about micron, wondered what the microns of powder paint would be i hope i am saying this right like i said i am new to this. Last night i used a piece of house wrap tyvex and a coffee filter still got a very little valcano action adjusted air down didnt seem to boil like i would like it to, i will keep trying till i get it right.

  7. I think jig man your right 2 oz. of powder is not that much for that diameter and depth of cup .I did try to stir it just seem to move valcano to new location. I think the best option is to get bigger bottles of paint. Like i said all new to me more trial and era.and help from people on here. How do most people buy there paint by the pound .It looks like most guys fill there cup up with paint so it is roughly a inch from the top of cup .
  8. Just made my fluid bed with the help of cadmans plans . I was just wondering the best way to attach filter to bottom of cup ,also fired it up with a Tetra whisper 40 air pump and seem to be getting some valcano action on sides , do i need to add more powder i dumped the 2 oz. bottle in cup . The fluid bed is a 3" the cup is 3" tall . It seems if i try to adjust air down it gets rid of valcano but the paint is not flowing like fluid . The paint i am using is Pro-Tec black.Any help would be appricated. I also made a 2" with a 3" and a 4" cup . Same issue feels like i am close to having it but not quite. Thanks for your time.
