  1. I don't have that mold but have read guys vent the feet to make it shoot right.
  2. If I wanted to sell, that's what I would do. Have something you can show. Samples could be OK, but you can give away a lot of product too. I would judge the free product by the reception given and the return I thought it might give. Just an opinion of someone that has done a little canvassing long ago.
  3. The story is this couple of meth heads broke a beaker and decided to glue it with superglue and continue their craft. While heating that beaker the cyanide in in the glue turned to gas and killed one. The other had cyanide poisoning and was charged with manufacturing. True story.
  4. I don't fish them. My point is, if I want to knock something off for my personal use, I will and keep it to myself. Nobody's coming to look in your boat or tackle bag. From a legal standpoint, without some dang overwhelming evidence, law enforcement couldn't get a warrant for it. I know a judge. Nobody else is looking, period.
  5. If RI is big enough to climb in my boat and check my tackle bag over my objections, they're welcome to give it a try!
  6. Try heating it and letting it sit for a minute. Most of the bubbles will rise to the top.
  7. Hi Scooter! Sounds like your ready. You'll enjoy it.
  8. Those are nice. I like the silicone on the outside. What kind of hair do you guys use with these?
  9. I use Columbia Coatings paint also. Pro Tech always seemed pricey to me but I know they have some brilliant colors.
  10. After seeing Smalljaws stuff, I bought TJ's little badger gun also. It works good and am satisfied with my results so far but still learning with it. Chris thanks for posting the PSI you're running at. Haven't really figured out a number yet.
  11. Yeah, you'll have to shoot it cooler. I'll tell you one thing though. If you only shoot it for yourself, the bass could give two hoots about the dents!
  12. I know where your coming from Patrick. From the start, I told myself I wasn't going to sell my baits. I love tacklecrafting, but like you, I already have a full plate with a demanding job that takes me away from home, wife and family and other various obligations. No time for selling and production. I may make a few baits for friends or help someone in our community with a sample or something but that's all I have time for now. When I retire, might sell a few then just to have something to play with. JMO.
  13. LOL! I've been wondering why my Chartreuse seems to always wash out or wash in might be a better analogy. I'm learning all the time.
  14. Rubbermaid makes a nice little container that will hold a pound and a half of powder probably. This container has a screw top with a smaller pour spout/ pop top that is real nice and convenient for pouring right into a fluid bed. I use these when I get powder in plastic bags.
  15. I have that mold and yes I agree the pin through the hook eye is a PIA. That said, for me this is a great pouring little mold. It's vented well and without preheating it pours perfectly. I don't pour the small sizes though and that's probably the ones you have trouble with. I only use the 5/16 and 3/8 cavities so far.

    Won the 2015 BassMaster Classic.
  17. I love my Baitjunky FA grub. I use it on my a rigs and as a trailer on my chatterbaits. I also use it as a stand alone also. Shoots great. Makes great Lams and has a Sprue Saver. I don't think you can go wrong with it.
  18. I was wondering the same thing. How does he get the different ratio?
  19. Maybe I didn't understand how to navigate their website but it looked like a very limited selection of hooks to me. I searched Eagle Claw and came up goose eggs.
  20. Sorry it took me awhile to get back to this. Here's a pic of what I have. I also inspected about twenty jigs I made in advance and haven't put together yet and there is no residue after I baked these to set the powder paint.
  21. I bet it's that copper Pearl powder Snowman. I have some hi lites and I also have that copper Pearl. I'm on the road and not where I can put my hands on it or I would let you know and give you the recipe. I'll be home tomorrow if you would like to have it and can wait that long.
  22. It sort of looks like a color on a laminate bait my son and I did a while back. This is a Copper hi lite and it looks close.
  23. RS, you might want to move this over to the plastics forum. Just a guess but it looks like cinnamon with salt, kelly green, copper, and black .040 or so glitter. Just a guess though.
  24. McMaster Carr but be careful ordering the long stock as the freight on it is expensive. Someone told me if you order it 4' in lengths and smaller it's cheaper but I have no personal experience with it. I ordered a 6 foot piece of it and made a whole bunch way back when. It's the teflon rod.
