  1. Ive tried lots of materials and the stuff mentioned above from eBay seller works the best.
  2. Thanks Ben, I guess I should have searched it first. It seems jusr about everything has been tried at least once by somebody. Lol!
  3. Has any body used this? Its from Mudhole tackle. I have used a product for rolling urethanes that is added to the paint when mixed. But never seen a product that busts bubbles when sprayed Its designed for rod building, just curious if this would work on top coat epoxy for lures See video below

  5. This is what happens when I get bored! The red has been working good through!
  6. Guys thanks for your input. Very good info. Answered a lot of my questions!
  7. I was wondering if anybody has built a drying box or used heat to cure lures as they turn. If so how did it work? How much quicker did they dry? Any issues? I'm considering building a drying box I can put my lure turner in. Thought about using a heat lamp to raise temp. I'm using BS and D2T. Please share your experiences. I know there are alternate top coats but that's not my question. Happy with coatings I'm using, my limited painting time and short lead time on requests is an issue occasionally.
  8. Ill give it a go - My name is Billy Walden, 45 years old, I live about 30 miles south of Atlanta in Ga.. I Paint aircraft for Delta Airlines and have a back ground in auto paint and body doing everything from custom paint to restorations, So I have a good paint background that has shortened the lure painting learning curve quite a bit. I have been lurking around for a couple years here. Learning and reading. Recently started painting some lures. but really want to get into the building of balsa/wood baits. Just haven't really had the time to do it. I have everything I need to start but its a little intimidating! I love TU probably on here 10 hours+ a week. Fishing is my passion and I am lucky enough to have a son that really enjoys it too. I fish mainly for fun but have been known to give my tourney friends a run for their money on occasion! I will share all I know cause most of it is borrowed knowledge from someone along my lifes path! Tight lines guys!
