Hello, I'm a jig and plastics maker but I want to experiment with basswood cranks for personal use. I am going to order some 2 5/16 flat side crankbait bodies from Janns. My question is what size square bill should I get for these? It doesn't say how wide the crank is. I guess the next question would be how deep should I cut the bill slot to fit the bill? The bill lengths are confusing also. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I wanted to share my jig rack. Total cost is $15! You can't see them but I have holes drilled in between each of the wood dowel bars, so I will get those and add them and there will be twice as many racks! PVC PIPE AND WOODEN DOWEL ARE THE ONLY MATERIALS. You can see where I taped an order I was doing on the left side. Hope you like!

I am curious about posting skirt colors on here, like they have for the soft plastics with the cookbook. Maybe a picture of your jig and how many of what strands and color. Has this already been done? I'm new to making jigs and just curious.

It's clean lead, and bottom pour. I completely understand that 1 oz. compared to 1/4 oz. is different, that why I said average. I guess I could take the weight and figure that into 5 lbs.

Has anyone done the math on this? What is to average number of football heads can you get out of 5 lbs. of lead? I understand the different sizes but on average? Thanks in advance!

How do you clean/prep your lead heads before you powder paint them?

Hello everyone. I received this private message yesterday from a popular person on this site, I will stay classy and leave this person un identified. "You had posted that you would share you files with people who asked previously. If my request was to forward I apologize. Perhaps you should ask redg8r to edit that portion of your post where you said that so that you don't get requests from people you do not want to share with." I want to make this straight, I was willing to send it to anyone and evryone, which I did, to over 200 people. I politely and respectfully posted that I would no longer be sending them because I could not get it to them in a timely manner and I was extremely busy. I work 40 hours a week, then at night I am trying to fill orders. I asked that others share it that I had given it to. I felt this was respectful and the right thing to do. After I did that I have noticed that it has taken off in a whole new direction! I am proud of the fellow members who have taken this on and ran with it. It makes me feel good that I have contributed to this forum in a great way. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that I am not "Not sharing with people I dont want to have it" I feel this message attacked me a little and it was very rude. Redgatr, you can amend my original post however you would like to reflect that I will no longer be sending out my cookbook. I will still contribute with recipes or even ask for help myself, but this became too much. Thank you to everyone who has complimented me and thanking me for my selfless act of sharing this. Hello everyone! I appreciate the comments that everyone has given me on this. I have sent out all of the requests today from my email. I am sorry to inform you that I will not send out any more. I am getting hundreds of requests, and alot from the same people, although I do not understand why. It's taking up alot of time to copy and paste this many. Hey everyone! I have an interesting topic starter. If you were going to have ONLY 10 stock colors in your Line of products, what would they be? I understand that colors change from region to region across the country, so I think it is interesting to see what everyone thinks. I am trying to narrow down my Color Line for stock colors, and then of course produce Custom Colors for customers on request. I want to start with 10 colors in the line, and then make changes based off of sales/production. I am having a hard time narrowing it down at the moment and would like to know what/how you would do it. And your Top 10 List Is.......................
