  1. I have some 0.35 del-mart glitter. I cant get it to stop clumping together in the hot plastic. Do any of you guys have this problem and if so how do you solve it? thank you Barry
  2. I'm standing at my bench pouring some craws and watching football. I went to grab my bottle of water but instead grabbed my quart bottle of plastic. took a big gulp of plastic. luckily i caught myself and spit it out.
  3. I stirred it and the plastic was used.
  4. Has anyone tried this blend of soft and medium plastisol. If so what is your opinion? Thinking of buying some just wanted a first hand opinion.
  5. It all started with a broken spinnerbait

  6. I added some ultra lumina black to a batch of plastic. While i was heating in the micro it burst into flames. Is lumina powder only supposed to be added to hot plastic? Im assuming yes.
  7. Hey guys which scent do you think most closley resembles power bait?
  8. I'm attempting to make an RTV mold. What's the best way to secure my master, which is soft plastic, to the mold container? I've tried super glue and it did'nt hold the master very well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Methylene Chloride is "was" the industry standard for powder coating removal. I read a report yesterday that said the chemical is cancer causing. I know it's still available and wonder if the cancer causing properties of it should even raise concern for those of us who use it on a hobby level rather than industrial applications.
  10. Hey guys. I just read that the most effective solvent for removing cured powder is benzyl alcohol. If I remember right from chemistry,This is the kind of alcohol we drink. If thats correct we can'nt run down to Lowes and pick up a quart. I also thought that denatured alcohol was benzyl alcohol with a posion added so it could not be drank.Anyone with a chemistry backround got any insight on this.Im going to soak some jigs in a can of beer for six months that ought a git er. lol;-)
  11. Yeah pretty sure I'm going to build one from Cadmans plans.
  12. Hey Cadman thanks for the info. I would really appreciate a set of plans. barrybatchelor73@gmail.com Thank you. Barry
  13. I know alot of you guys build your own fluid beds The discussions going back and forth are mainly about vocanoes and filters. My question is, If I buy one off the shelf from a supplier can I expect these same qwirks or will it be ready to run? Also, If I build my own, Do the suppliers offer replacement filters I could use in my construction? Barry
  14. Is there a place on this site for a personal gallery thats attached to your profile? If so how would a person go about starting it?
  15. You do the toothpick deal before you heat and swish. leave it in until you done.
