i want to make an 8' crappie rod ffor dipn trees and a 10' rod for casting below truman dam, i want to b able to cast ALONG ways. i was thinkn about using fly rod blanks?? will they work? what weight rods will i need to do this?? any info on these rods will help, or maybe a different style of blank i dont know about?? thanks for the help

jig man, this is off the subject but a few years back you posted a way u made slab slayer/slab buster style jigs. was wondering if u u still made them and if i could get a few pointers???? im getn pretty close but still aint where i wanna be. the post was from waaay back,,, march 10 of 2010

has anyone had any luck making slab slayer/slab buster style baits? i read some old posts from 2010 started by mo quack and jig man posted some pretty good lookn baits! any help would be great, thanks
