  1. Sometimes i take my dual injector apart & use all three 6oz. injectors. I'll also put cool unused molds in between the ones i'm shooting to sort of act as a heat sync of types if i plan on making a large amount of a couple different baits in the same colors. Things like brush hogs & super hogs i always use the same colors in so it makes it a lot easier to make a bunch of them at once. Three different jig trailers that i use i do this way too & you can really make a pile of them quick.
  2. The 8 would be alright but when it gets tough here i do better on the 6 incher.
  3. I own a few of his soft plastic molds & i'll say it seems to me like he has his own way of doing things but i'm pretty confident in his abilities when it comes to molds. I'd like to have one of his production soft plastic machines & will probably buy one closer to retirement if he's still making them.
  4. Does anybody know of a mold like the zoom 6" dead ringer? Thanks.
  5. Are these the carpet cutter blades? I have the beefed up press that i made that uses the luercraft block but that looks pretty good too.
  6. I was going with green pumpkin but mother nature told me to stay home tonight.
  7. Nice job. I just got through rigging one of my tubes up for the tournament tomorrow night. That is if the weather doesn't screw those plans up.
  8. I have the screws taken out of almost all of my molds & use the plastic squeeze clamps. I put on as many as i can get on them on just to be safe.
  9. You'll be satisfied with Anglin A I without a doubt.
  10. baitplastics is as good as it gets.
  11. spike it has their lureworks red bug colorant. It's pretty strong so it goes a long ways.
  12. I use a cap full of heat stabilizer when heating remelt too if it's been sitting a while. If it's fresh i usually only reheat a small amount & don't use stabilizer then.
  13. Do you not realize how many folks use a tooth pick to do what i mentioned? I have a small metal skewer but have used tooth picks plenty of times to stir in a minute amount of colorant. what i said will work just fine.
  14. I just got 5 gallons of bait plastics plastisol in from ups a few days ago. 3 gallons saltwater hard 312 & 2 gallons medium 212. The 312 holds up real good for crappie lures & also works great for making some big ribbon tail worms that my buddies use as trailers on their musky spinnerbaits. It's some good stuff.
  15. Yep it is a good color that lots of folks use to fish.
  16. You could try some red & dip a tooth pick just slighty in some white to give it a pinkish hue. Just dip maybe an 1/8 inch & stir it in then if not enough repeat the process. It should take very little to get the pink look if you're dong a small batch.
  17. Yes they're legit & one of the big players in the plastisol & bait making products business. I buy pretty much all of my colorants from them.
  18. I make the essential series finesse worm, essential series ribbon tail worm & an 11 inch ribbon tail worm that i fish hard in summer & make them all with bait plastics medium & it works great.
  19. The angling ai mold Chris has is a great jig trailer or hula grub with the skirt attached. I also have a few of the artificial stone molds from bug molds & all have worked great.
  20. I'm using bait plastics plastisol & myself personally i like medium for everything except for mixing 50% hard/medium for tubes & lately i'm liking saltwater hard for crappie lures.
  21. Almost any good mold maker will have some kind of waiting period. Most make lure molds as a secondary line of business too. The last mold i bought from Josh had a three week waiting period & when it hit the line they sent a message stating that. Can't get much better than that in my opinion.
  22. OIR has a good video on here about fixing the cheap injectors. He used a collar that goes on a drill bit & had a set screw to be able to tighten down where needed to install on the handle below the knob of the injector that would work great to keep the tip from shooting out. I'd check his stuff out because he has some great ideas. The video is under the" Mistake I Made Buying An Injector" here in the soft plastics forum just a couple threads down from this one.
  23. If it's safe & works good for you that's all that matters.
