  1. I just ordered 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 12" from basswoodman.com Not sure what you are going for but the site has different options.
  2. Whats going on all, my Name is Tyer Wenner. I am 23 years old from Fargo, North Dakota(brrr) and just a few weekends ago a friend of mine and I were out spearing and while staring at the empty hole a thought came to mind, "how hard could it be to make my own suick" well that turned into doing a lot of research and finding this site which has lead me to a ton of information. Honestly everyone on this site is great! Well today is the day that the wood my friend and I ordered should arrive and we are both jacked to start carving. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone out there. Tyler
  3. Wow thanks for all the info, the wood blocks should be in the mailbox after work today! i cant wait to get home and start the process!
  4. Thanks for the input. That is what i was thinking, i just couldn't imagine pulling in an eye hook after having that 50" er on.
  5. Hey all, I am just starting my first try at making my own jerk bait muskie lure, well first lure ever. My plan is to start with using Basswood since I've heard is the easiest to work with but the softness worries me a bit. I guess my main concern is how to attach the trebles and eyehook. I can't decide whether to use the through wire method of if the basswood is strong enough to use just the screw eyes. Any tips help
