  1. im late to the party i know but for what its worth heres my two cents. I let my hotpot sit about 25 minutes before the first pour. I use a small piece of painters tape at the top to hold my wire in place, and finally i pour slow to medium speed with this mold.
  2. For what it's worth.....I am pouring from a hot pot ll and let my pot sit about 25-30 minutes before pouring, then when I do pour I try to pour it kinda quick......I don't get 100% good pours but I did manage to improve the number of good pours quite a bit doing it this way
  3. Update..... I received my order today (10-13 )minus several colors that I was told were not available, the only issue with that was I didn't find out until opening the box. I really like to know asap when an item is out of stock so I can try to find it somewhere else. Anyhow, shipping was a little high but I'm just glad to be done with this transaction.
  4. I know this is old but let me update this topic. I ordered from him 8 days ago(10-2) thinking I would get the order by Thursday or Friday at the latest. Well the first 2 emails went unanswered, finally on the 3rd email he responded (10-10) saying my order would ship tomorrow......we will see I guess. Didn't take quite so long to process the payment though.
  5. In my very limited experience it is from sucking air into the injector when your work pot/cup is low on plastic. When I get to the bottom of the pyrex cup now after I fill the injector I hold the injector tip upwards and press the plunger slowly until I see plastic come out, seems to help..... Brad
  6. Nope, just the standard stuff. The baits turned out great, they just seem to tear easier than store bought baits do. I have read too much hardener will effect the action and i'm trying to avoid that but make it just a little tougher at the same time. Again............thanks for the input. Brad
  7. M-F plastic Thanks for the replies guys....................I did NOT shake it very hard so that will be the first where do you live Montess.............im in Midlothian
  8. I just recently started pouring baits, they come out good for the most part but.....they seem too soft. Particularly the flukes, I only get 1 or 2 fish out of the bait before the top of it is torn to the point of being useless. So will a hardener solve this problem without affecting the action? Also, what is the best heating pot to maintain the soft plastic in liquid form? I have just been using the microwave but after every reheating cycle my plastic turns 1 shade darker. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! Brad
