  1. Does anyone know how to get a black spatter effect on jig heads like the ones that Boss Outdoors sells at Fishing Skirts.com with just using powder paint? If anyone has ever been able to do something like this with just powder paint I would love to see a photo.
  2. Thanks for the information. I'm going to try this out. What is the best way to apply it? Do I use a paint brush or should I dunk it? Or is there maybe a better way? My wife hates when I use that cs clear gloss coat. I use it in the garage but the smell gets in the house. I have a 5 year old son and if this is harmful to him it's not worth it.
  3. I like the Boss painted jig, buzzbait, and spinnerbait heads, but they chip. I do paint my own, but sometimes it's hard to find the time before I have the opportunity to sell my finished lures. I would think that if I painted these with the vinyl clear gloss from CS Coatings that they would no longer chip. Has anyone tried this? Does it look good? And what would be the best way to clean them off before painting them with the clear gloss?
  4. I'm sure it's faster to use two injectors for making a laminate bait, but I don't have the money right now. Will the bait hold up if I injector one side using a laminate plate than empty out the injector and then put in a different color and then injector the rest of the bait. What am I looking at as far as time for the bait to be able to fuse together.
  5. I was wondering if the twinjector from basstackle would work with aluminum molds from other companies, and if so which ones? Also if it does not work well with some molds would the injectors themselves work with other aluminum molds from other companies. I guess what I'm asking is are the injectors universal?
  6. Does this mean the more expensive one well give me a better looking bait?
  7. Do-it molds has two senkos molds. Does anyone know if I can get a way with making laminated senkos with the 40 dollar one, so I don't have to buy the 98 dollar one that has a laminate plate that can be used with it. I'm sure the answer is no, but has anyone come up with a way to make laminated senkos with out spending so much money.
  8. Thank you so much for responding. I've been making wire baits for 5 or 6 years now, but I haven't poured any plastics yet. I went to a fishing demo a couple of weeks ago and the guy doing the demo was using senkos because a cool front was coming in and the bass where not responding to spinnerbaits. It blow me away to see how aggressive these fish were when he through these senkos.
  9. Is it possible to open pour in one side of a hard aluminum mold and then close the mold and use the injector to fill in the rest of the mold so to eliminate the need for a laminate plate?
  10. Thank you for the info. It is greatly appreciated.
  11. Prismatic Powders has 6500 different powders to choose from. They sell by the pound. There are several other site that also sell by the pound. None of them sell a green pumpkin in a vain or hammertone because it would not be profitable for them, but has anybody ever tried to make green pumpkin by mixing a few of the vain or hammertone colors that they do have. I know I can buy a vain green pumpkin from Fishing Skirt.Com, but It's always good to find a less expensive way.
  12. I'm from central Ohio. Thanks for responding to my question. I will do the research. I think I will enjoy this site. Later for now.
  13. What is a good silicone tab color for the belly of a crawfish.
