  1. I've been trying out the Eagle Claw 500BP in 1/0 in that mold with good success this year and have been pretty happy with it. I've been fishing it with 15# braid to about 7' 8# floro leader.
  2. correct nail goes in the end without the skirt.
  3. I make mine in a non sinking formula. Then rig it like the picture MonteSS posted and I put a nail weight in the end. Doing so the bait stands on its end upright and the skirt flairs out.
  4. agree with MonteSS. Fat IKA style baits when rigged backwards with a nail weight in the end will have a backward glide/fall to them
  5. speaking of the 702 and 706 craws. How does Baitjunky's Fat Albert Craw compare to those?
  6. Anyone have the Bass tackle 7" ribbon tail worm mold? If so how do you like it and how does it fish compared to Berkley's and culprit worms? and how does it compare to Do-Its 7" ribbon tail?
  7. Congrats on that toad. nothing better than catching a beast on something you made, just makes it that more special.
  8. depends on the mold. I hand pour my BJ's Ledger swimbaits. Some molds intended for injection can be hand poured. the only ones I have been able to hand pour is single cavity with a top inject.
  9. Anyone have Bait Junky's Jerk 5.5 that would not mind sending me a couple, I'll send you a couple bucks. I want to compare it to the DO-It Wutz-It Forktail mold I have. Anyone compare the 2 and if so which do you like more?

  13. does your melted plastic have bubbles in it before you pour?
  14. very cool set up. Gave me some ideas to help organize my shop
  15. I use holographic silver and black. In the picture the front color is a zoom trick worm in green pumpkin majic and the back one is one i smy version.
  16. for a finesse worms my personal go to color is green pumpkin
  17. Really depends on the molds you are starting off. For me shad or swimbait style molds I started out with white, black, green pumpkin and for glitters it was silver and black when I first started. If you'r starting out with craw's or creature baits I started with some natural "craw" colors such as brown, orange, green's, and blue's. Over time you will accumulate a wide range of color's, at least I did. everytime I placed an order for plastic I order a couple of color's that I did not already have both in pigments and glitters.
  18. Yep I'm on the list, about a 28 day wait at the minute, cant wait to get mine. Great guy to work with answered all of my several questions.
  19. I do from time to time. I tried posted a pic of the re-melts I just did today but for some reason it wont let me? But they were scraps from 5 different colors that I re-melted into some grub, shad, and lizard's. Posted pictures of them up on my Facebook page and was instantly blown up with people wanting some of them. I always though put the disclaimer out that they are from scrap re-melts and that once the color is gone that it probably won't ever be exactly reproduced.
  20. thanks guys. I was tired of pouring my lead and plastic in the garage especially since its not climate controlled, winter it gets cold and summers are extremely hot. The hood is just made out of playwood I had left over from putting shelves in our storage room and the blower fan, duct piping, and outside wall fitting I got all on amazon. The red parts I had painted with an automotive paint, that color I had left over is from a project. And the light is a 24" single bulb florescent strip light.
  21. I looked on their site and did not see the small one just the main one at $1400. Do you have any info on it?
  22. ok another question. The shooting star system. does the twin injector that it comes with take apart smae as a standard injector for cleaning?
