    A Crappy Crappie

Not exactly what I had in mind. Finally got fed up and stepped outside to fish for awhile. I did learn a few things on this one, so hopefully the next one is nicer.
  2. It’s nice in hand when that glare isn’t drowning out some of the upper color.
  3. That’s a Dinger Custom Baits D65. Nice solid blanks, eyes come with them.
  4. She’s not the sexiest, but it’ll fish.

Thanks ddl. Just started painting this blank and I love it. Nice “canvas” to work with.

    Old Dirty

Thanks, it’s definitely unique the way it changes in all the lighting.
  8. Swapped the blue and chartreuse around just to be different. Hopefully the fish will eat it like a true Citrus Shad color.

    JENNIFER GILL’Y

Nice curves and kinda sexy in my eyes. I do need to mess around with the green and see if I can do better or get more natural looking.
  12. Yes, I bought the kit that has about 25 colors. The transparent base is a Createx product, it’s milky looking in the bottle but dries clear.
  13. That’s Pearl Ex powder pigment in sapphire blue mixed with transparent base and shot with an Iwata Eclipse.

    Titanium Shad

    That’s boredom. Hahaa

    First Crappie Paint

Thanks Gentlemen, now if I could only fish some of them.

    First Crappie Paint

Played with the Pearl-Ex powders on this one.

    Titanium Shad

Tried to get that heated/torched look.
  19. This fake hair flows in the water and has a ripple effect. I smoke them with this head and craft hair.

    Sour PB&J

Thanks, I make them using nylon coated leader wire from Berkley. I will never use another traditional fiber weed guard again.
