  1. I haven't tried the turbo blades.I've been looking for some that are 2 blade. I mostly throw a hawgcaller buzzbait and the blades are a little bigger than the "large" blades I've been seeing online.i haven't measured any of the blades but they look bigger. I also think that the War Eagle buzzbiat has a little bit wider blade than 2 inches.
  2. I've been looking looking for some too. Can't find any.
  3. No,you didn't miss anything Cadman.I just assumed that the epoxy would be dried on the brush after 3-5 jigs and the brush would be useless.
  4. Thanks for the link,it was very informative.I could have read that hours ago if I would've used the search box at the top of the screen.
  5. Ok Thanks,I didn't know of anything that would clean off dried epoxy.
  6. I've been using CS Coatings Seal Coat with not much luck. It's been peeling off my jig heads.I've only been putting 1 coat on,maybe I should put 2 coats on? I've got some devcon 2 ton epoxy to try.My question is what do you do with the brush when you get done? Can it be cleaned or do you just trash it when you get done?
  7. Have you tried cutting a little off the pins? That's what I'm going to do on my arky head mold to make chatterbaits.

Thanks for the review. I'm really having a hard time deciding which one to get.I have a 2a vice to use until I get one but I really miss the rotary.

Ok thanks smalljaw.I tie mostly 4/0 and 5/0 so I guess I'll keep looking.

    Needing A Vise

Thanks for the link.I'm really leaning towards a cam lock vise.I seen the Odyssey spider has a cam lock but it's only rated for up to a 4/0 hook.I've noticed that some vises hold larger hooks than what the manufacturer claims.Does anyone have an Odyssey spider that holds up to a 5/0 and how do you like it?

I would just like for it to turn so I can get my skirt material even around the entire jig.I don't tie any flies only jigs (1/8oz to 3/4oz) I wouldn't say I pull it really hard.I use 210 denier and I've never broke the thread.

    Needing A Vise

I found 1 on ebay for $185 and watched a review video on youtube. It;s a nice looking vise and seems sturdy.I read the description online and it say "for hooks up to 4/0" Have you used hooks larger than 4/0 in the vise? If you have did it hold the larger hook well?
  13. I have a cheap rotary vise that I got from ebay and I need to upgrade.I've stripped out 3 screws on the jaws so far, trying to get it tight enough so the hook wont slip.I need a vise that can hold hooks (rock solid) because I tie with thread and pull it pretty tight.I use size 2/0 - 5/0 hooks and I want to stay with a rotary vice. The vise also needs a good warranty. What do you guys think about the cam lock jaws? I know after sitting in front of my vise for a couple of hours my fingers get tender from tightening and loosening the screws on the jaws.I'm thinking the cam lock would be more comfortable to use. What are some of the best vises for under $150?....Thanks
  14. I've been holding the sprue at the widest part.I'll try holding it closer to the jighead. Thanks
  15. Update... I poured about 20 more jigs and only had about 8 that didn't look perfect. I twisted the sprue off,cut it close with gate shears and then filed it smooth with a flat file. I forgot about trying to cut it in both directions then filing. I've got a set of half round bastard cut files ordered so I'll try that next.
