  1. Maybe I’m crabby today, but I still have no idea why anyone wants to do exact copies of anything. Especially something zoom makes. I bet you play around a bit and you can “invent” something better on your own. I have well over $1000 of colorant on my bench that has taken couple years to learn and understand how they look and interact with others and brands. My advice is take the time to learn. Generally certain brands tend to use the same brand colors rd I have found. I apologize if this sounds rude or mean but it’s reality.
  2. Look at lureworks natural color. Or Put a drop of yellow in. You will never learn colors and how they react until you screw some crap up.
  3. Good luck getting a response out of them. I have spent a ton of money with over the years, makes no difference. Have sent several emails regarding venting issues on most of their molds. Zero response

    Heat control box

Thanks, was looking for a plug and play. This type of electrical is not fun and the diagrams or instructions are always severely lacking. I ordered a kit to build a new one.
  5. Anybody here build or know of anyone that can build a temp control box for the old Bears mixing pots. The box that heats the center mixing block with the cartridges. We are dead in the water until I can get another one. pic of it below. I pulled the plug out. thanks Ryan
  6. Wow! Very interesting. Starting to make sense why I see multiple people at winter fishing shows that I do and they all have the same stuff.
  7. I have no idea on the recipes but, I crack up at all the guys who buy their stuff and market it as their own. Especially when you can go on eBay and pay half the price for twice the baits. They have quite the set up to crank out all that plastic.

    Bait Mold

you need the mold with individual injection ports per cavity.
  9. Thanks Rupert. Been calling you for 2 days will shoot you an email. I am still having issue with your shooting star as well.
  10. Hey Everyone, While i I wait until ultra molds answers their phone, thought I would throw this question out there. We have what I believe to be the older bears mixing pots with the silver control box. It has the mechanical heat temp dial. We have to have the center of the mixing block pressed out about once a year from it refusing to rotate open, not a big deal, but one of the heat probes broke off at the wire connection. SO, anybody have the specs and/source for the heating element/probe/cartridge thing? I found a few online but had way too many options. thanks!! Ryan
  11. Check your area for a pvc compound company. I found one locally and gave them durometer (sp?) specs and they made me up plastisol. I can tweak the heat stabilizer content with them too. Nice thing is they sell by the pound and put in buckets at no charge. Something to look into.
  12. Make sure you specify your inside dimensions, top pack has a 1/4” seam around and almost 1” above zip lock. There can be some confusion between the cultures lol and they don’t take stuff back. They are the cheapest and I was very happy with the bags.
  13. Easier to put pic here I figured out

    Selling Baits

Like the previous poster said, a quick call to your tax person will answer all your questions. Why not just come up with your own names for baits? No need to steal others names they worked hard to bring to market. Also decent packaging goes a long way.
  21. Just a heads up with baitmold, I emailed him about getting custom mold done and never received a response. I have bought 2 aluminum molds and they took about a month and half to come. With zero communication. Just keep this in mind. Also nothing stops them from "stealing" your idea or design.
  22. Yeah we do that with the bears pots. I use the UM pots for white and clear laminates. I would like like to know what the next step is in injection machines is that are available? Something that mixes moderate amount of plastic and can keep from burning it while using air to inject? Something under $5000 maybe?
