  1. It's urethane foam sealed with a primer. All of them does not do it, that's why I've been thinking I either get to heavy with my coats and or I have my pressure to high. I did one and one side was perfect while the other side had 5 or so little bubbles.
  2. Yes I do have a water trap. No reducer as the paint is already very thin.
  3. I use lifetime lacquer paint. Sometimes my baits have tiny bubbles pop up on them. Anyone know what's causing this and how to solve it?

    Airbrush issue

I took my badger apart and have the parts soaking in some acetone to give it a good cleaning. But in meantime I did take advantage of the 40% off at HL and bought me a Neo. I must say that gun is pretty awesome, I'm loving the gravity feed, it is so much easier to clean and switch between the two different types of paints and colors as well. I guess if my badger gets back working it doesn't hurt to have 2 brushes. Thanks for all the replies!

I will definitely let you know but I'm starting with 4 colors and should have them on my store site next week! They are 100% handmade just like my uncles were but with a different lip but still great action. I make them to order so ship time could be up to 5 days. suddethkustombaitz.com PS. The brush that keeps messing up is one of the ones my uncles used to paint the plugs. And that was back in early 80s thats how old that brush is.

When I use water base paint after cleaning lacquer with thinner, do I just run plain water through it to clean out the thinner before I switch over to my WB paint?

I think what I'm going to do is just get another brush, and use one just for water base and the other for my lacquers

I use Jars since its a siphon feed. So I could use my thinner bottle attach it how finger over nozzle and hold down trigger correct? Also with it doing this, does this mean I need to thin my water based created some more? All my life to be lacquer paint never clogs it up or whatever its doing, it always happens with the createx.

I have not tried that so I do not know. The brush is pretty old my uncles used it to paint crankbaits when they had business, now I have bait business and using one of their brushes. I've been thinking about using the 40% coupon at hobby lobby and buying the neo gravity, and getting it for $48 +tax

My brush is blowing plain air no paint, thinner, nothing. I sprayed a lifetime white no problems, sprayed good. Cleaned with thinner, then went to a createx flo orange it sprayed good for awhile then it eventually quit spraying. I tried to spray thinner back through it and nothing just air. It seems to do that with me when using the water based paint, and ive got it thinned down with water. I have a badger I believe its a 200 series brush with the adjustment on the back. What is going on with this thing?

    Crankbait Lips

I'm needing crankbait lips with insert shafts, the only one I've found I can use is lure parts online, and they are out of stock on the ones I need. Would anyone know anywhere else I may could get them. I've searched all over online and haven't found anything.

    Airbrush paint

All I see from house of Kolor is orange Neon. And it says shimrin or something like that?
  17. My store is online so most of my sales are shipped.
  18. The insert cards is what I really need to find. I want to put my logo and info on the insert card that goes inside the clamshell. That is what I'm hoping staples can do for me.

    Airbrush paint

I'm looking for a florescent orange in a lacquer paint. Does anyone know any place that would have this color? I've googled it but cannot find a florescent orange in a lacquer.
  20. Staples is who does my business cards, so I'm assuming they can print cards to fit clamshells. I will just check with them.
  21. Thanks Bob yes thats it but I can't seem to find any like what I'm wanting. I guess I'm just going to use the clamshells, do you know if staples or the like can do custom dimension cards that would fit inside a certain size pack?
  22. Yeah I looked at those earlier, I guess they would work if I can get cards printed to custom size to fit inside those boxes.
  23. I am looking for the little cellophane covers that sit over a crankbait and then you staple it to a card with like with my logo, info, ect. Anyone know what I'm talking about and if so what they are actually called and where to get them? I can't find them anywhere, for one not sure exactly the name of them.
  24. I cannot agree with this more! They have taught me a lot over the years and still are. They told me about lacquer but I just came up and thought about the PP I did try one this morning using PP with a makeup brush. It did look ok but I still think lacquer is much better looking on the foam.
  25. I understand exactly what you're saying, but I own a bait business and bringing back my dad and uncles crankbait design from the early 80s and I'm always looking for cost effective ways but still keep quality. If it takes spending a little more for better quality then thats what I will do. But if I can keep quality for less then thats even Better. Also back then they used lacquer on Their crankbaits. So thats another reason I keep thinking about lacquer. As I'm trying to keep it as original as I can.
