Ray Neuse

Nothing fancy but effective. I painted this with just finger nail polish with it's rough bottle brush. No worries though, fish like it. Also added some weight to make it dance and suspend.

I don't see many natural looking buzzbaits. Nor is there one that's stealth and finesse. So, I made one. It chops water nicely. I've caught fish later in the morning with this one.

This med/ deep diver was fun to make. To achieve the lifelike look, I used pearl finger nail polish over acrylic, drew in the scales with an old bic pen and sealed it all with a 24 hour epoxy. It's a total fulfillment to catch fish on a lure you make but the biggest compliment I got from this one was a school of shad following it along, bumping it trying to spawn with it.

I enjoyed making this rod and now the benefits of it's features. This 5" 5" rod is powered with graphite handle and ultra grip wrap. Along with the micro guides, and great blank it's extremely accurate , sensitive , light and powerful. It also cast and pitches great. Funny thing was, finding a butt for the handle to match the yellow gold color I wanted. I ended up using the cap from a mellow yellow I was drinking
