Removing old handles and real seats

I had to cut the seat off, as I looked closer, there was a crack in the reel seat so I went ahead and cut it off. -
Hello all Ok I'm redoing a quantum 6'6" rod I've already removed the handle and now I'm trying to remove the reel seat without destroing it. I' getting some epoxy resin remover called Attack, would this work or should I use heat instead.
